Valentine's Day Treat Box

SplitCoastStampers has a instructions for this Treat Box and I thought I would add this to my Gift a Day for my hubby. Doug had given me the black and white paper for Christmas. When I saw it I knew I had to use it for this project.

LOAD Day's 14, 15 and 16

Here is Day 14, 15, and 16. I'm a little behind but I new that would happen at this time. I was planning for it and expecting it so it's not a problem. I am still planning on completing 31 layouts by January 31st which was my goal, not to be worrying about not completing a layout every single day.

I'm unable to post the pictures but will do so later tonight when I get home. Technical Difficulties!
Edited to add pictures

12 Days of Valentine's Card Day 2

Day 2 is a Pocket Card. For how easy it was to do it looks good. I followed Myra's video at Craftyrat Creations. The Happy Valentine's Day printed on the front is a Word Art I made in Photoshop Elements. The font is Multu. I didn't have a stamp (gasp) that fit the front of the card. I did the same with the "love you" on the tab on the tag that goes in the pocket. I made the photo corners from the swirl stamp, Versa Mark Ink, and Gold Embossing Powder. The heart is from my cricut.

Recipe:Paper: 12 x 12 piece of patterned paper for card, miscelanous scraps of red, tan, coordinating patteren paper. Cricut: George and the Basic Shapes for the Heart. Ink: Timber Brown, Versa Mark, Embossing Powders: Clear and Gold, Stamp: Swirls V:1 Other: Corner Rounder punch, white ribbon, gold ribbon, charm, Ice Stickles Glitter Glue

12 Day's of Valentine's

I started doing the 12 Day's of Valentines for my guys about 10 years ago. Each day they get a Valentine's Card or a small gift from me. I have just finished day one. They all like the Hot Tamale's so I altered a jar for them.
I painted the lid, and wrapped the lid with a white ribbon and attached a tag I made.
Recipe: Paper: Paper: Luxury Stack, Cricut Pink, scrap of white for tag Ink: Pink Other: ribbon, Acrylic paint - Dusty Mauve, black pen, Hot Tamales for the jar

Load Day 13

I used the sketch from 52 sketches ...52 weeks for this layout. It is another 8 1/2 x 11 layout. The scallop ovals are punched from a scrap of the Luxury Stack I had left over. I pulled the rest of the colors for this page from that paper.

Load Day 12

Scripture Challenge

I have decided to join the Scripture Challenge that Patter is hosting, her blog is here. The details can also be found at Create My Keepsakes forum . It will last 52 weeks and week 1 word is "Faith"

The hardest part for me was deciding on the size to make. Did I want 3x5, Rolodex, an odd shaped album? I finally decided on Rolodex cards. I had enough left over from previous projects. I the only thing I need to do is punch the holes for the Rolodex.

'If you truly love Nature...

you will find beauty everywhere' - Vincent Van Gogh.
Sisterhood of Scrap has a new Sketch up on their blog and I thought that their quote of the day fit perfectly for my layout.

After snowing several days, 1 - 3 inches at a time, we were able to say we finally had a White Christmas.

Football...

This picture was taken Thanksgiving morning. The temperature was really cool outside about 20 degrees F. and it was just starting to snow. My youngest son was playing in the Annual Thanksgiving Day Football Game.

I did a digital layout for today. Izzy went to the vet's today and it takes the spunk right out of a little dog. So she wants to spend the day on someones lap and trying to leave work for two hours just makes it hard to pull the supplies out and scrap. So I cheated and did a digital layout.

Creating Shaped Jouraling

I went over to Creating Keepsakes to check out their sketch's for my LOAD Day 4 and found that the February Issue has shaped text templates to print out on a transparency. I print out the sketches and keep them in a 3 ring binder sorted by paper size. This way I can look at them anytime without getting on the computer.

LOAD Day 3

For this page I again went to big picture Scrapbooking colors of the week and picked one of the November color groups - mustard with periwinkle. The layout is from Sketch This Sketch 38 for 2007. It's been awhile since I used these foam stamps. I find that the hard part is waiting for the paint to dry.

Get a LOAD of This!

Lay out A Day Challenge on Big Picture Scrapbooking, the best part is that it is free! I thought I would give this a try. My layouts will be with out pictures and continue on the 8 1/2 x 11 theme. I missed Day 1, but I did make Day 2.

I tried using the colors of the weeks challenge for this layout. I succeeded for the background at least. The silver/gray and black was just to dark for my liking. The color combinations look really good on the sample. Anyway the rest of the colors I pulled from the ribbon.

CD Jewel Case Case Calendar

Here is January's CD Calendar. I enjoy doing these as they go quick. I make my calendars in Publisher depending on the size of the page I am doing that way I can have a custom size. I cut the black paper to 4 3/4" square, the blue paper to 4 1/2 square and the snowflake paper to 4" square. The book plate is cut from scraps of red, and the punched flower is from the same scrap. I stamped in blue in the month. The only paper on the CD Jewel Case Calendar's that is not scrap paper is the black paper, and I have used black for all twelve months.

Brrr - January

I have changed the size of the monthly calendar for my DH. He wanted a smaller size so I am now going to do an 8x8 each month. I had purchased the 8x8 scrapbook page protectors just for this reason. My oldest son had given me The Rockstar Stack paper and I just had to use it for this layout. There is some really nice paper in that pack. The scroll work on this paper is only in one corner so I cut the paper to accommodate the scroll work. I wanted to cut around it and open it up so the picture would show through and to help hold the picture in place. The picture is one I had taken in December when we had a really heavy frost and is 4"x6".

Recipe: Paper: The Rockstar Stack, scraps of green and blue Stamps: Close to my Heart - Doodle Alphabet Cricut: Fabulous Finds Ink: blue, moonlight white Other: brads, glue 8x8 page protector, glue, calendar from Publisher

Cookies for Santa and Waiting for Santa

I was lurking over at Scrapjazz and they are having an online crop and the 10 am challenge is about lifting this layout. I started this last night and had everything completed except for the red and blue lettering. My Cricut cutting mat lost it's stickiness so I had to wait until today to get a replacement.

Both pages are 8 1/2 x 11 and were really quick to put together.
