I started by cutting down the blue background paper to 11 1/2". Because this paper has some stamping along all of the edges I cut a 1/4" of off each side to keep some of the stamping. This is one of the new stacks I picked up at JoAnn's. while they were on sale. It full of patterns and colors that can be used for guys and not just for girls. Love this!!
I created the Car Show ticket with my Silhouette using "Cleanadvertising" as the font, added a row of pearls, the blue stamped car, wrapped a couple of pieces of twine around the ticket. I then layered behind it the cream cardstock using pop up dots to give it some dimension.
For the first page I changed the photo to 4x6's and used stamped images of the cars instead of little pictures at the bottom of the page. I used the ticket corner punch on each of the cars. I added a pearl in the corner of the bottom cars. I added a photo corner to the top left and bottom right photo spots. All of the edges are inked with burgundy.
For the second page I kept it pretty much like the sketch. I added the photo corners to the top left and bottom right photos. My photo spots are 3 3/4" x 3 3/4", but you can easily put a larger photo there, I left room to tuck it behind the embellishments
I embossed the Old Jalopy on orange cardstock and then used Dark Soot ink to high light the image. The journaling spot as stamped and can slide out to the detail information. I have a piece of chipboard with a pearl in the center holding it in place. I used a toothpick to make the "Good Times" sign and hid the bottom of the toothpick behind the card image. A couple of word arrows and a few pearls finish off the center. The tickets were embossed and then inked with Vintage Photo. I added another toothpick and word arrow to the side.
