7Oth Birthday

I had a few minutes the other day and was playing in Design Studio trying to get a layout designed for Birthday Layout and this is what I came up with.

When I use Design Studio I use George and the Basic Shapes for my photo and any Basic Shape, I normally do not cut them out like for the photo mats or accent papers.  I did use it to cut out my circle shape.

The party was at Fort Snelling's Officer Club so I knew I wanted to use some red white and blue on my layout and the Stand and Salute Cartridge is perfect for this type of layout.  For the Chickadee I cut him out once out of black, white and grey then cut my pieces and layered everything onto the black bird.

Then I added a few punched stars to the corner, the white ones are from the inside of the circle flag.  I lost my first one and had to recut.

Thanks for stopping by.

I never thought about using Design Studio (or CCR) as a design tool for the layout like you did, kind of a sketch pad. Clever idea! Lovely layout! And you are just trucking right along with your kit, way to go!
