Mini album

I have a little mini album I put together as a thank you for watering my house plants and my outside plants (this post is photo heavy and you can click on the photos to make them bigger). I had received this mini album kit awhile ago and just added it my July Counterfeit Kit.

I have ribbon tied to the ring and throughout the album in between the pages.

I painted the frame with medium then used white acrylic paint, crackle medium and Tropical bay blue. The frames has a piece of acrylic behind it and is popped up on foam tape.I added the flowers a pearl for the center and the butterfly to the one side and the dark purple rhinestones to the other.

I kept the inside cover pretty simple - rounded the photo mat and inked the corners.

I have two tags I spent quite a bit of time on trying different techniques. I stamped the butterfly onto white cardstock and used distress ink to color it in, added stickles for the shine. the background for this tag has a white embossed border, regular stamping at the top, a distressed doily that I didn't like how it turned out so I painted it with acrylic paint and perfect pearls . I added a Tim Holtz Fragment charm, ribbon scrap and safety pin to the top.

I again stamped the butterflies onto white cardstock, added distress ink then stickles. Because the butterflies turned out so dark I decided I needed a lighter background for them.  I stamped and embossed a piece of acetate and cut out the frame from to make a window of sorts. I again stamped and embossed the tag. I used a piece of jewelry wire to make the butterfly antenna's. The back of the tags are just covered in scrap paper.

I had a mini tag in the kit so I stamped and clear embossed the butterfly, tied a double bow and flower and pearl.  There is room to tuck a picture behind the tag as it is not glued down all the way.

These are two chipboard pieced that I were included.  I didn't like how the flower turned out so I cut it in two pieces and added the distressed and embossed chipboard label to it.

Page two has a ribbon tied in between the pages.  I stamped, clear embossed and cut out the branch on the side. I used a double mat with the ticket corner punch.  for the Purple mat I embossed it then lightly rubbed it a  white gelato to get the texture to show up better.

For the back of page two is another distressed  chipboard pieces, a couple more rhinestones, another fragment charm and a butterfly that was included in the kit.  Since the butterfly had so much black I added a pieces of black ribbon to the side of the mat. The heart is mounted onto a hinge of sorts so that the picture can be tucked behind everything.

Page three has a large mat then a ribbon piece that is holding in several different sized of mats. I put pearls on the ribbon and on the top and bottom corners of the large mat. I stamped and embossed the butterfly onto a small piece of white cardstock , embossed a larger white piece and used scrapes for the rest of the mats. I added a paperclip at the top.

The back of page three is like a waterfall page. I have some of bling on the pages and a couple of paperclips at the top.

for the inside back cover I stamped and embossed the whole butterfly this time. I added a piece of ruffled lace to the left side and the page opens to the right.

And here is the back of the album.

Thanks for stopping by.
