Summer Fun - July Counterfeit Kit

Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog is up with their July inspiration kit from Scrapbook and Cards called Heat Wave.

I didn't have the diagonal strip paper or the chevron paper so I'm substituting a grid paper, streamer paper, and a bold strip paper for them. I am also using several sheets of die cut paper instead of the transparency paper for my specialty paper.  I also did not include black pattern paper. My Puzzle paper was brown so I'm substituting that for the black. I also didn't pull in any project life cards so I may add them later.

Page Set 1:

I started my kit with the Recollections Multi Circles/Flowers paper for my inspiration paper.  I added in the Recollections Honeycomb and white cardstock. From there I  went with light orange colors for the flowers and buttons and a yellow ribbon.

Page Set 2:
For one of my word papers I pulled the Dear Lizzy: "Spring Collection" - Swallowtail Social which matches the brown and Recollections: Crossword Puzzle paper. I added in a couple of turquoise papers to go with them.  I couldn't decide on the color of the embellishments so I use a combination of brown and turquoise, buttons, brown flowers and turquoise ribbon.

Recollections: Crossword Puzzle; Dear Lizzy: "Spring Collection" - Lazy Ladybug and Swallowtail Social; Pink Paislee: "House of 3" - Numbers

Page Set 3:

I pulled the Die cut Vintage Map paper for a specific layout I want to scrap. I have a travel card, a couple of chipboard butterflies, olive green buttons and ribbon, black buttons and a tan piece of ribbon.

Page Set 4:
The Girls' Paperie - Die cut Stamps and red flowers, buttons and twine.

Page Set 5:
I started with the flower paper from Basic Grey "Mellow". It has a reddish/pink color to the flowers and depending on the ribbon I use I may not use the pinkish tone paper. I've also added red and white buttons.

Page Set 6:
I'm using another die cut sheet this time from Jenni Bowlin - Play Date. I included a light blue cardstock which matches the polka dots but I'm not loving it and will probably switch it out to a cream cardstock.  I've included a few flower sprays, ribbon and buttons all in blue.

Page Set 7:
The second word paper I pulled is from Bella Blvd "Hello Beautiful" Thanks a Bunch. I've paired it up with a Pink Pailsee "Hometown Summer" Fruit Stand paper. I added in green flowers, leaved and ribbon.

Page Set 8:
I started with The Girl's Paperie Jubilee paper  and added a blue cardstock. I love both sides of this paper (the orange at the bottom of the paper is the backside) so I included quite a few embellishments in here. I have a pink arrow and globe,  an orange arrow, a couple of sheets of stickers, wood veneers, wooden buttons and icicles alphabet in Lemonade.

Page Set 9:
Basic Grey "Cupcake" Streamer paper and black cardstock. I have several tags with this page set in blue and green along with blue buttons, orange ribbon and black and white twine.

Page Set 10:
EK Success "A Day at the Beach" collection - Beach Buzz, Beach Blanket and Beach Banter; Kraft cardstock; Creative Imaginations bits & baubles stickers, Scenic Route - Day at the Beach rub ons, blue and green ribbon and blue buttons.

Page Set 11:
I pulled this bold stripe paper from October Afternoon instead of the diagonal paper in the kit. I added to it DVWV - Corrugated cardstock - orange and an Unknown orange pattern paper and Grey cardstock. I have a few little sheet of rub ons with a summer theme, red and white and green and white ribbon, flower with words on them and a couple of stamp sets. The original kit had a journal card with a calendar and the Gel a tins has circle calendar and the months that I figured I could make my own embellishment for. The Foam stamps are all about the summer theme so I had to add them in. Both stamps set are one I haven't used a awhile.

I will add some cut files to the kit - I'm not sure which one's yet.

You are so organized - what a great way to not just make a kit but have it at the ready for USE! Genius.

LOVE the way you set up your kit! It definitely makes it very usable when you have it nicely coordinated like that! I think I like set 10 the best (that little smiling crab makes me laugh!) but really, they are all lovely. Have fun this month!

I love how you assembled page kits to make up your kit for this month. This is a really great idea! I Sometimes have individual papers that I want to use, but they don't end up making a cohesive kit when I pull them all together. I think using this method would allow me the freedom to use what ever supplies I wanted without having to coordinate everything. Thanks for the inspiration! :)
