Counterfeit Kit Blog Hop

Can you believe that today is the 24th and it's the day of the Counterfeit Kit Blog Hop?  Well I had full intentions of joining up to do this but time just got away from me.  To find the hop you can click here or on their name above.

Today's layouts are using the  Colorbok  in Truffle from my August Counterfeit Kit Page Set 5. I should have take a picture of the paper I used before I made my layouts.

I didn't want to cover up the birds on the sides of the paper so I cut the paper so that I could use them on either side and the left over piece is for the center two layouts. I wasn't planning on making 4 layouts but that is just the way it turned out.

I added a tan cardstock border and a punched border using the Martha Stewart Cherish punch. I was having a bit of an issue punching a clean border on the pattern paper so I add a piece of kraft cardstock behind and punched them together - this kraft border is now going into my bag to use on another layout.

Each page had a stamped and fussy cut image along with a button and the same yarn threaded through the button holes.

Each of the stamped images are on foam tape and the buttons are on a zot but are placed so that the photos can slide in behind them.

I alternated the stamped image on each page and they are stamped on a scrap of the tan cardstock I used for the photo mats.

Again I kept the pages pretty simple as these are going to my oldest - he will add photos and journaling.

Don't forget to stop by the Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog to check out their blog hop.

 Thanks for stopping by.

Nice way to maximize that patterned paper. Someday I hope you will share their pages when they've decided about the photos! Would be fun to see what the men do with them :)
