Welcome to the CKCB Member's Blog Hop.  This month our Challenges were to create a project using one of the three challenges at the Blog.  You should have arrived from Lesley at Oh! Blog it! If not you can start at the Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog or continue on from here.

The Challenges were:
Challenge #1 was Subway Art - Use the subway art technique (using different colors/fonts in a block of writing like a title or journaling).
Challenge #2 Container Challenge - stamp it, die cut it, draw it . . . use a container somewhere on your project.
Challenge #3 was Stamp on Patterned Paper Challenge - Stamping of plain paper is easy. Stamping on Patterned Paper takes guts! Let's see how gutsy we can get with some stamping"

I decided to do Challenge #3 and stamp on pattern paper.

I use tracing paper to stamp my image on then I try it out on different pattern papers.  I keep the tracing paper with my stamp so that I don't have to go back and do it again just like I do with the masks for the stamps.

For my layout I started with the darker ink and stamped a couple of time then the lighter ink.  I also stamped the feathers on word paper and the bird hidden journaling spot is also stamped on pattern paper.

Here's a close up of the stamping. I used a Martha Stewart punch and scissors to finish cutting the scalloped heart out.

The journaling reads:
Dale and David had stopped at Caribou for coffee, when they say the chalk board with "Relaxing" on it.  David said that would be Izzy.  A few days later when Dale and I stopped in it was still on the board and Dale told me the story of what David said.  I went over and wrote her name on it and texted the picture to David.

Izzy is our Chihuahua and she just melts the stress away and her super power is the "paw of sleep".

Super cute technique :) Cute layout I like how you used the stamping for a border

great idea to stamp on tracing paper first to see how it would look on the patterned paper - great way to incorporate all those stamps and texture on the layout.

What a fantastic idea to "test" stamp first! I really like the extra layer that the stamping adds to the page. :o)
