August Counterfeit Kit Challenge

The new challenge kit is up at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog.  Not only was there a main kit but there was a couple of other kits to choose from.

Studio Calico's Penny Arcade Kit.

I realized pulling papers for this kit I just don't have much of the teal and coral colored paper.  I pulled the teal paper that I had and a few of the coral but I'm definitely more on the orange side.

Paper:
Top Row:
Pink Paislee : She Art - "truth", "hope",, "truth";  and Nantucket - "Jumbo Shrimp";
Sasafrasslass: "Sweet Confections",  That a way "Playtime", Serendipity
Scenic Rout Paper Co: Laurel Landings Way. Harvest Multi Dots
Imaginations: Narratives  by Karen Russell;
Bottom Row:
Crate Paper: Restoration Collections - "Slip Cover", "Ruffles",  "Fringe";
My Minds Eye: Wild Asparagus - "Cousins" Floral,"Grandma" Strip, "BabyGirl" floral;  29th Street Market - Bright "Girlfriends" Best Blossoms"

In with the Penny Arcade kit there was some map paper.  I still have a few photos for the oldest to scrap so I pulled out the map paper I had set aside for this.  Now I did not pick up all of this map paper - the Colorbok "travel kit" and the bottom row of papers are some that he picked up when he was in New York and DC. I'm thinking I'll just do general layouts for him with the Colorbok kit and use the bottom row as dividers in his album. Honestly they are to nice to cover up with photos.  He also picked up some stickers and stuff that he put in the Colorbok kit. No I didn't ask him or remind him to do this - I just received a package while he was out there with the paper in it. Yep, he did a great job of selecting them!

Top Row:
ColorBok Travel Page Kit; Unknown Map paper; 7 gypsies - Global Collection "Europa", Off The Wall Collections "Travel", "Greco"; Heidi Swapp - World Traveler "compass", "Continents", "Old Map"; Karen Foster Designs - Army Green; K& Company - Witness Script
Bottom Row: Unknow maker - Picked up in New York

I have a 7 gypsies Two Way Book that I thought I would be a great present for my sister.  I have 6 papers from MOD that I think I can get to work if I add some cardstock and die cut items.  I'm just not sold on the paper here so I reserve the right to change it out if I don't like the way it's turning out.

I pulled out a few chipboard flowers , a few trims, a strip of tickets, and a couple of sheets of stickers.  I really didn't know what I wanted for embellishments so I'll add more as I'm making my layouts and decide what I need. Now the Penny Arcade Kit had a cloud and sun burst stencil, so I dug out my Cricut and a few cartridges to make my own.  I also figured I could make a few paper doilies - love the coral one in the Penny Arcade kit using the Cricut.

So there you have it, my Summer Collage Kit, I kind of have a little bit of everything going on in this kit.

Thanks for stopping by.

Wow that some cool specific paper, I so want to see Ellis Island :) I agree they would make fantastic dividers, your son did a fantastic job picking out papers for his album :) Just a fun kit overall :)
