Last of a Tradition

I'm finish up a layout I did for my oldest but never got around to scrapping for myself or my youngest. I have a few kits that I've not used enough for me to put back and I'm trying to a couple of them used up.  For this oneI used some of the September Counterfeit Kit for my layouts today.  My Oldest's Layout is here and was completed with on the Counterfeit Kit Challenge monthly challenges.

I kept my layout pretty close to the original one. Unlike the original I did not do any stamping on this layout, just added the punched banner and clock pieces along with the cut out watch.

The photo frame is made from a piece of scrap paper and the tradition is cut out and attached to it. I've attached journaling to the back of the layouts and it reads:

We were surprised to see that the elevator in Wilsall is being torn down.  They have been talking about doing this for years.  It's the ending of a tradition as Granddad and Uncle Jerry both worked at the Elevator.  They are taking it down in pieces and recycling it

I think you need to get a hold of a piece of it, for old time's sake! Nice that you each have your own pages.

Nice - a very striking design that bears repeating. And good for you for going back to kits that aren't quite finished up.
