the every day routine

When I was pulling my papers for my Autumn Fun Counterfeit Kit I had put the Crate Paper Seaweed Collection "Deep Blue" and the Prudence Collection "Virtue";  papers together as I thought I would make a layout using both of the papers.  Well that actually didn't happen and I split them up when I realized I had enough embellishments in my tray to cover a couple of pages using the papers separately. I had the printable journal card, a couple of pieces of the heart paper, stamped images and some die cuts.

I used one of the PageMaps sketches for my 12x12 layout - I made the pattern paper smalled and the photo changed to  4x6 and

the challenge at Sketches in Thyme.  Project Life Style for week 3 which I rotated 90 degrees.

For the 12x12 page I used the Printable Project Life card and the heart paper along with some scrap paper.  I again outlined the white cardstock with a black sharpie and inked the edges of my papers.

The pocket page side is where I used the majority of my embellishments from my tray.  For week 3 I rotated the sketch to fit my 4x6 pocket. I stamped the "Live for the moment" and "enjoy the little things" for my titles. Instead of having the pattern paper across the top I stamped the months. Now I could not find a large ampersand in the letter stickers so I dug out my foam stamps and Lime ink.

For the rest of the pockets the stamped flower spray was already cut out along with the peacock feather square I just added the embroidery floss to it. I did die cut the doily but it didn't want to separate all the way so I just used half of it with a heat embossed bird. I trimmed down the rock n roll paper into a banner and wrapped a little bit of embroidery yarn around it. The take note was already stamped and punched I just added to the die cut.

On the 8 1/2 x 11 layout I kept the photo at 4x6 and moved the banned to a vertical position and the project life card is at the bottom of the layout.

I was finally able to get a clean cut on the doily die and added a button to the center with a bow in the top right corner.  The heart paper makes a border on the 2x4 with a "today" heart cut out, a stamped bird a few more banners and a die portions of a die cut, then some crewel yarn wrapped around a die cut tag that I cut down to fit into the bottom 2x4 pocket finish the page off.

Thanks for stopping by.

Ooh, I love the idea of creating foundation pages/layouts and then adding photographs later. I do this with mini-albums but had never thought about doing it with other styles of scrapping!

Love the colors on these and the way you rotated the designs to get different looks. Very well done - it's great to have pages just waiting for photos!
