February 2020 Counterfeit Kit reveal and Blog Hop - CHC February 2020 - Love Letters.

Hello everyone! It's time for another reveal on the Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog and Julene picked something a little bit different from our normal inspiration kits.  Here's the description:

 "Fall under the dark, romantic spell of Darcelle by Frank Garcia for Prima. This mesmerizing and delicately elegant collection is filled with indigo blues, boysenberry purples, and medallion golds for creating projects that will leave you speechless. Design a mixed media panel love-filled card, or gorgeous notebook pages filled with vintage charm and beautiful accents. Discover wild and free sentiments, curious butterflies, whispers of foil, and glittering jewels in the secrets that Darcelle holds.”

Doesn't that sound amazing? The inspiration is Tres Jolie kit from November Kit based on the Prima Darcelle Collection. Here is the link to them but scroll down to find it..

You can find the pieces in the collection Separately on Scrapbook.com  here and they've added white paper doilies and chipboard vines, a box of wood veneer. Surprisingly there is no Alphas in this kit, but please feel free to add your own.

Our Guest Designer is Kate Boddy Blue and she can be found on her blog Blues Blog and My Scrappin' Fascination. Kate is a long time scrapper and follower of Counterfeit Kit Challenge.

Now for my Counterfeit Kit - Love Letters.

The first two papers are from DCWV - Tajamahal Stack from 2009, the next four are from DCWV - Immortal Love from 2009, the next three are from Stampin' Up Botanical Gazette (unknown how old), the next two are Tim Holtz - Memoranda and Correspondence pads, the black and white flower print is from Pink Paislee Auburn Lane stack and the last one is a Bo Bunny - Genevieve Collection.

Stamps and Die:  Firefly Stamp and Cut - Typewriter; Stamp: Honey bee stamp from Secret Garden;
Dies: Sizzix - Flower and Branches; Unknown- Floral Die,honey comb, and flower die; Wood veneer - Bo Bunny - Hearts and Hearts Wood Shapes, Studio Calico - My type; Flowers - Little Birdie - white flowers; Petaloo - Botanica Collection Ranunculus; Punches - EK Success Dimensional Punch - dahlia and carnation; Cricut Cartridges: Picturesque, Wild Card, George and Basic Shapes, Accent Essentials and Kate's ABC's. Sequins - 28 Lilac Lane "Fairy Sparkle" and "Spring Butterflies". I may add more depending on what I want to make. I will also add cardstock to my kit as needed.

I've punched the borders from a long strip, added the red pom poms, some buttons, Doilies in gold and white and bumblebees for some finishing elements.

Now for the blog hop, the next person is Julene to see what she has inspired her when she made the kit.

Wow, Cindy. Such a fabulous kit and I'm loving that you've really delved into *much* older stash for it. Kudos to you!

I think this has a more classical than vintage feel to it, well done you.
