Smile

I pulled Page set #6 from my April Counterfeit Kit - Best Days for this next set of layouts.

I did add in different yellow cardstock than what I had pulled originally, as I want yellow for the background and on not the photo mats. Here is what I had for Page Set #6.

I have several sheets of white cardstock that are not 12x12 not quite sure why, but I need them used up.  I am using them to border the pattern paper.

I know I had included embellishments in the original page set, I'm saving them for later. I pulled a few hearts and tabs that were left over from another project to use instead.

The best thing about a Counterfeit Kit is that you can change your mind and pull in what you need as I did here.

I pulled in a white alphabet - not sure where it is from for the title. Thanks for stopping by.

A Little Dirt Never Hurt

From my April Counterfeit Kit - Best Days I pulled the blue and yellow paper I did not know what pictures I was going to scrap. I added in blue cardstock for the background and cut a dump truck from the Everyday Paper Dolls in white. The dump trucks are cut at 3 1/2" and 2 1/2".

I colored them with Stampin' Up ink and a black marker and used foam tape for some dimension on the page.

I matted my photos on the blue and yellow paper. It's hard to believe that this February of 2024, which is why Mr. D has his snow pants on, but it was a relative warn day for February.

I turned the layout landscape for the 8/ 1/2 layout, I used blue alphas for the title - Color Theory. They are really old, but I am trying to use them up.  Thanks for stopping by.

For my kit I did things a little bit differently this time. I love the green and blue combination and I was surprised how much pink I pulled in. I did add in yellow I have some papers that I'm not sure what I'm going to scrap and page sets that I have specific photos to scrap with.

First up is the various papers that I don't know what I'm scrapping.

Page set 1:
Pink Paislee paper, green, yellow and black cardstock, flowers, tags, jewels and ribbon.

Page set 2:

Unkown papers, lace, flowers, flower paperclip, spring die cut, and an origami dress.

Page set 3:

Unknown papers. Shamrocks, hearts, flowers, pom poms, green doily, DIY crepe paper ribbon.

Page set 4:

Pink Paislee paper Aburn Lane (2019), three pieces of scrap ribbon, leaves, buttons, stamped fern leaves. I'm planning on fussy cutting the house for embellishments.

Page set 5:

For my embellishments I have a few die cuts that I'm trying to use up, several flower and leaves stamps to mimic the flower and leave in the embellishment kit, flower and leaf dies and punches, border punches and a cut apart sheet and tags and labels.

December 2023 - Sketching Around The Christmas Tree - Sketch #5 Layout

Welcome back to Sketching Around The Christmas Tree - Sketch 5.

Yesterday I posted the sketch I am using. Just a reminder I am using a December 2023 Page Map Sketch.

I did not put a Counterfeit Kit together for December this year. I am trying to use my older papers. I have the papers in 2 Iris bins and the elements in 1, 3snowflake punches and cardmaking in another and two bins of projects.

Yes, that is a total of 6 of those bad boys. I am going to use my stash for my projects this Christmas. My sketch is one that will be easy for me to use my scraps

I turned this sketch into a two-page layout. From my scraps I started with the presents and the green stripe paper. The presents paper was already cut into a 6-inch strip and the green was about a 7-inch piece. That is the start of page one.

I added in a scrap of red that I used the ornament punch on, a couple of blue scraps for under my photo and journaling. Then I pulled a couple of embellishments to finish off the page.

For the second page, I found the same paper that I was fussy, trimmed it down and added the dark green paper. The ornament punched red paper is pieced into three sections that you can see behind the photos. A couple more stickers finish off the page.
You know that we always love to see your work, so please share your kits and projects with us. You can post them in our Facebook Community or share them on Instagram (we are @counterfeitkitchallenge or tag us using #counterfeitkitchallenge and #ckcdecember2023).
Thanks for stopping by.
