Christmas Card Album

I have another project done for the Yahoo groups Scrappers Challenge.  I have finished adding the Christmas Cards, letters and photos we get every year from family and friend to my album.  I started this album with the 2008 Christmas cards and letters.  We get several letters so I had to make something to hold an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of paper.  I didn't want to fold it as there can be stuff on the back so I wanted to use sheet protectors.

I start off the year with a divider and the Christmas letter we send out.  After that it's just punching holes for the cards and adding them.  If I have a letter and card I keep them together along with any photos that were sent.  If there is writing on the back I use a piece of Acetate and photo corners to hold the pictures on then we can read what was on the back.

I hold the envelopes in a sheet protector in the back of the album until I send out next years Christmas cards so that I have a quick reference if I lost an address.

This was not in my unfinished scrapbook pile but it is a scrapbooking project and it was unfinished so I'm counting it as a Finish It Friday project.

Thanks for stopping by.

License Plate Album

I don't know about you, but there are a few Cricut Cartridges that I think I don't need to buy because I don't need them. A couple of them are: Going Places, Graphically Speaking, and 50 States. My kids are older so no school projects. DS asked me to make an album for his trips he is taking this year and I remember this Album from one I had seen on one the Yahoo Groups. The Bog is Scrapped Lives and the album is called a Travel Portfolio. So when Joann's had their cartridges on sale I sent my DS and DH to the store

I'm making an album for License Plates. I know it sounds funny, but my DS will stop at the junkyards and pick up a couple of plates from each state he's been in, (no I haven't started the other album). The first one he gave me was for Alaska. I Incorporated the State, State Flag, and Name on the page from 50 States and then added a note paper from Graphically Speaking.

I am using binder rings to hold everything together.

Recipe: Cricut: 50 States, Graphically Speaking. Paper: Rock Star Pack, Various scraps for rest Misc: Binder rings, glue, twine, pop up dots

Cut Outs

I was working on a tag album for my sister. I want to basically put a kit together for her so that all she has to do is some journaling, add pictures, put the pages in the order she wants, add a few embellishments. Well, this is what I came up with. I had already cut a bunch of tags out and then I decided she needed some cut outs so she could sandwich the pictures or journaling.

I used Tags, Bags, Boxes and More for the Tag Shape and George for the windows on my tag. There are ovals, rectangles, stars, squares and and outline window. I used double sided paper and cardstock so the tag can be flipped which ever way she wants.

Click here for 5x8 windows and tag base.

Please note that if you view it does look funky. There is no welding so each tab is a separate tag on the page. The 4x6 tag album has two tags per page.

Tag Album

Using George and Design Studio here is a couple of tag albums.

There are two sizes of each tag. One is 2.998 x 5.5 and the other is 2.5 x 5.5. In each one you will loose a little because of the overlap and welding.

If you want more than the four pages cut another sheet and glue them together. You will need to score each tag set down the side seams for folding.

Football Album

My husband's birthday is coming up and football season is just around the corner. Here is the football album I made for him. Everything on this is using the George cartridge.

Some of the pages I had to lay the paper down top side facing the mat and cut as it was going onto another piece of paper that was going to be the top. For the pocket pages, I cut my paper 6 1/2" wide by however long I wanted the pocket to be, (side that is cutting the holes line it up as you normally would and have the extra 1/2" on the other side of the mat), and just cut the holes on the 3rd page.

Scallop Album

I made two Scallop Albums with the Cricut. The first one uses George and Celebrations Cartridges and the second one uses George only. I figure that everyone has George and it gives me the practice.
I am now working on a football album for my DH. Oh yea, if you click on the picture it will bring up the cut file.

Flip Album

Marie Loves to Stamp has a Flip Album that is adorable. I had to make one when I came across The Luxury Stack of Pearlized Prints at Archivers. I'm also going to use this to make the CD calenders.

The solid paper is just a Bunch of scraps from the Cricut paper packs in Blue and scraps I had. The ribbon is from American Elements Downtown Black set.

Baby Album

I have been making a a baby album for my niece. Wouldn't you know the baby was here before I was done. I finished Sunday and here are a few of the pages. We knew she was going to have a boy so I designed them with that in mind. It is a combination of Digital Scrapbooking and stamping.

I have a couple pages of the mini file folders in them. L0ts of journaling boxes and pages she can customize to what is happening.
