May

I'm having to fill this little bird feeder 2 - 3 times a week. We actually have 4 others in the yard, but we also have some mighty hungry birds.

Apil Template

We have a pair of ducks that are hanging around the bird feeders and picking up the scraps. I was only able to get a picture of her. He is really camera shy.

St Patrick's Day

I caught Izzy taking a nap and getting some rays today. She doesn't normally jump up here, but maybe it was because it's St. Patrick's Day and she's making sure she had some green.

Week Two

The fonts for this are LDJ Sketchy Robot 100pt for the title page and Lesser Concern for the journaling blocks. I used both 14pt and 16pt for the journaling. After I had everything where I wanted, I opened a new blank transparent file, 12x12, selected the brush tool and used floral swirl 1083 in the upper right hand corner. Rotate the image 180 and stamp again in the upper right hand corner. I then layered this over my completed page.

Wallpaper

Happy Saturday! One of my New Year Resolutions is to make a monthly wallpaper for my computer. I used a kit from Mandy Mistiques called Peachy Keen. The beads on a string is from a kit called Orchids by Digital Art by Steph. The sequin string and stamped frame I do not know who I downloaded them from.

I use Publisher a lot when I make my calendars, but I used Photoshop Elements 5 this time as I wanted a clear background. The saying is one I created using His Name is Honey, and Broken Ghost for the fonts. I then adjusted the opacity.

If you want to down load His Name is Honey can be found here, Broken Ghost here, my word art can be found here and the January Calendar here.

Recipe: Software: Photoshop Elements 5; Fonts: His Name is Honey, Broken Ghost Papers Peachy Keen Kit - solid green 1, solid cream 1; Elements: Peachy Keen Kit - Blue trim, ribbon ties 1, ribbon ties 2, folded fabric peach; Orchids Kit - orchid beadline; Unknown - sequin string and stamped frame

Christmas 4 Pack Gift

I needed to make a couple of gifts for the ladies in the office and decided to re purpose the Starbucks Fraps that come in a 4 pack. I first traced the side of the box and the front and cut two of each template in the paper I wanted. The sides are in Christmas paper that has various Christmas words on it. The back of the box has green paper with various colored circles on it. The front of the box is in blue. I then made a template for the handle and inside of the box and used red paper for this.

Each side has a different theme. On this side I made a Christmas tree pattern in 4 different colors of paper, each one being just a little bit bigger than the on on top of it. I scored each tree int he center and folded in half. I layered them and used double sided tape down the center of each tree and attached this to one side. On the back of the box I made a double wreath out of green beads and attached it to a piece of lace white lace with gold trim on top of it. I also made a poinsettia flower out a punch and glued it to this side. At the top where the handle is I made a wreath out of tan circle, use the corner punch on to make the scallops and stamped in green with a snowflake stamp. I stamped a Poinsettia flower on a transparency in white with white embossing powder and attached it to the other side top.

I wanted the blue side to be the front of the box. I made the word art "Wishing you the merriest Christmas and all the best in the New Year" with Photoshop, printed it out and trimmed with the round corner punch and backed with a scrap of card stock. I used about five different flowers and attached it to the front of the handle. On the other side I painted two chipboard snowflakes in white paint and then glued on white glitter to the fronts of them. The ornament is 6 ovals punched from various card stock, scored down the center and glued together with a ribbon in middle.

Each bottle is wrapped with a different Christmas themed paper and topped with a different bottle cap saying. I made them Photoshop and the different tops say: Engineering Relief, VP Intelligence, Corporation Logic and Just Plain Smarts.

Thanksgiving Recipe Cards

I decided this project needed some larger recipe cards. So I made these up digitally. They are pretty basic, but I think they turned out OK. I have three on regular white paper and three on vellum paper.
