Waiting for the ferry

I'm starting of with a couple of pages for the guys using my Counterfeit Kit called "Back In Time" Project Life Album.  The notes from Mom and Dad's album were sometime in 1991.

I used the Cricut to cut the "Ferry" out of the Going Places cartridge.  I know it's not a real ferry but it was the closest, I added a couple of heart rhinestones to the windows as both Dale and I used to ride them to work. I didn't have enough of the capital R's so I used two small ones instead.

I used the D'Vine Swirl embossing folder on all of the red cardstock. I added the stamped birdies as they reminded me of the sea gulls.

The above picture shows the layout in the sheet protectors. The journaling reads: It was always an adventure waiting for the ferry. Running on the beach, chasing sea gulls, picking up sea glass, rocks and sea shells.

Thanks for stopping by.

Carousal Mini Album Part 2

I have a few more pages to show you from the Carousal Mini Album.

On some of the pages I did not add my journaling spots as there was some paper paper with lines on it that works beautifully for journaling.

The lace is from my stash and was a scrap piece that was left over from another project. I was able to use up some of my scraps by adding a little bit to the edge or bottom of the pages.

To line my journaling spots I used template for journaling and just lined it where I wanted the lines to be and then used a matching ink pen for the lines . It was much faster than using a ruler and measuring the lines out.

These rhinestones were ones I had in my stash but went well with the kit.

Thanks for stopping by. Click here for file of the journaling spots I used. My file is set for 12x12 cutting but you can rearrange the spots for using 6x12 mat.

Carousal Mini Album

The Carousal Mini Album was a kit from Scrapbook Heaven. It came with all the cardstock, pattern papers, flowers, buttons, rhinestones, pearl and ribbon needed to make it. I added a few fun journaling spots cut with my Cricut and then lined with a pen. All of the journaling spots were cut from white paper.

I made so many pages that I had to replace the wire rings that came with the kit for larger ones.
I used this a the cover for the album. The flower is one that came in the kit. I used a corner punch to make the border by taking the guard off and punching along a straight edge.

Here is pages two and three. I did use the distress ink to ink most of the pages and used foam tape to pop the scalloped paper away from the background so that a pocket was formed. I just love the left flower on page three. I have it on top a punched flower. The journaling spot is from Going Places cartridge.

Page four has another journaling spot from the Going Places cartridge. Page five has the Pom Pom trim on the right side and velvet trim on the top and bottom of the page.

I just love the butterfly paper from page 6 and that was a scrap from Garden Party stack. For page 7 I stacked a couple of the flowers and added a brown pearl to the center. The Heart journaling spot is cut from Indie Art

Page eight has a journaling spot that is removable and page nine I left plain as I just could not cover up that paper.

Here is page eight with the journaling spot next to the page. I tried to alternate the pattern paper with the journaling spot and cardstock pages.
The kit came with plain cardstock to sandwich between the pages instead of cardboard. I used modge podge to glue the pages to the cardstock. I also tried to alternate my bulky elements so that I didn't have them on facing pages in the same spot. I made over 40 mini pages for this album so it is quite large.

Thanks for stopping by.
I'll have the file for the journaling spots posted on next weeks post.

Tiny Fingers layout

is another one that was inspired from a poem. I was surprised to lean that the New Arrival Cartridge did not have a baby hand on it. I made this one from the hand on the Going Places cartridge and cut the thumb and first finger down using my corner rounder punch.

Click here for the word art.

Recipe: Paper: Nana's Nursery, Sunburn Paper pack, off white, three colors of pink and vellum

Cricut: Going Places hand

Misc: Ink pink, corner rounder punch, glue
