Challenge Layout

The Pink Elephant Challenge had this wonderful sketch for their Challenge #8.

Here is the layout I made. One of the ladies I work with had her first grandchild and this layout is for her. I bet you couldn't have guessed that it was a girl!
The flowers are from the Home Accent cartridge, glimmer misted and assembled like the Tim Holtz's grunge flowers. I'm really happy with the way they turned out.
I cut mine out of pink and tan card stock, glimmer misted with Antique Brass and one I made out of Pearl Ex Super Russet and Red Pepper Alcohol Ink.

The butterflies are from the Indie Art cartridge. I cut the blackout layer out of tan card stock and inked with brown ink. The Butterfly is cut out of pink card stock and inked with Melon Mambo. The top layer of the butterflies are cut out of vellum on the lowest speed and pressure. I then rubbed them with Fruit Punch Stickles. The wings are only glued next to the body.

I missed the deadline for the Pink Elephant Challenge, but I would like to enter this layout into the following challenges:
Fantabulous Cricut Challenge: Beautiful Flowers for May
Flutterby Wednesday: Has to have a Butterfly, fairy or angel on it.
The Crazy Challenge: It's a Girl Thing.
Pile It On: Out of the Box

Miss You

The Pinwheel Flower tutorial is from Susan at Scrapbook Heaven and is the perfect accent for this little elephant. I looked online for the instructions for an Easel card and found one at Splitcoast Stampers. I was surprised at how easy it was to put together so you will probably be seeing more of these in the future. This one is the standard 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card shape.

I used the Retroprints Mat Stack for this card. The 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 stack is the perfect size for making cards. I would like to enter this card into The Pink Elephant Challenge which is to use orange.

Supplies: DCWV Card stock, RetroPrints mat stack, Martha Stewart Arch Lattice punch, Stamps: Elephant is from TPC Studio - Jungle and "Miss You" is from the Hero Arts Clear Design "Y" set; Ink is Stampin Up Soft Suede and Melon Mambo
