It's Your Day!

Hi everyone!  Today I'm the Designer for the Card A Day Blog and the theme is
Kiddie Cards and I decided to make a pop up card for this weeks theme.

I started with my card base, I embossed the front of my card with the Forest Branches embossing folder.I decorated the front with a punched oval and stamped the toucan in black onto orange cardstock then cut him out.  I added a couple of branches punched from green cardstock.  The "It's your Day!" is stamped with black ink onto cream cardstock and cut into a banner shape.

Now for the inside of the card.  I first stamped and cut out my animals as I needed to know approximately how how to make my steps on the inside.

After I had my steps cut, I trimmed just a little bit off of each side so that the green cardstock will be a border for the inside of the card. The above picture shows what my steps look like without animals.

I glued my animals inside to the steps and I'm done. Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to stop back tomorrow to see what Terri Wright has to inspire you.
