Chimney Rock

I'm using another paper from my Counterfeit Kit - which is the butte and beach paper.  I think I need a different way of showing my paper selection next time as I'm sure I will be pulling paper from this DCWV Stack again.

I started by cutting 1/2" off of the top and right side.  I wanted to keep the butte as part of the page as it reminds me of that area of Nebraska.

I only had a scrap of the blue paper under the photos so I did some creative cutting to get it on each page.  I'm not sure where the journaling spot came from.  It is a print and cut file but my Silhouette was acting up and I cut them out by hand.

I used a scrap of blue from the Luxury stack to put behind each of the View Masters then inked them with Vintage Photo. I also punched my birdies this time.  I just didn't have ones I liked to go with the colors on this page.  They are all punched from papers in my scrap pile.

I added a few branches with the birds and some embroidery yarn on my layout.  I also added a chip board piece that came in a kit from Scrapbook Heaven.  I think I will probably add this to the guy's layouts also, but I will need to cut one out so I'll be making that file.  It's good practice for my temperamental Silhouette.

When I was growing up on the farm in Nebraska on our trips to town we would sometimes drive by Chimney Rock.  It really depended on whether we were also going to Grandma's and the weather and road conditions.

Thanks for stopping by.
