Last of a Tradition

Here is my layout for Challenge #2 at Counterfeit Kit Blog.  The challenge was to be inspired by Jennifer Grace.  I looked around her blog and decided to use this layout for my inspiration. I liked how the photos were cut down and one of them was layered onto a Polaroid frame.

So I cut down my photo and made a faux Polaroid frame and punched a star out of the corner. After lining up the photos I just started layering the different papers.  You can click on the photo for a closer image.

My journaling is a the top and reads:
We were surprised to see that the elevator in Wilsall is being torn down.  They have been talking about doing this for years.  It's the ending of a tradition as Granddad and Uncle Jerry both worked at the Elevator.  They are taking it down in pieces and recycling it.

Beautiful layout, hate seeing the old building getting torn down, but glad they are recycling it. Really cool rendition of the layout you lifted :)

I like the way you separated the clock piece and the polaroid front and center is perfect.
