January 2015 Counterfeit Kit Challenge

The January Counterfeit Kit Challenge is up and they are using the Hip Kit from December 2014 as their inspiration.

There is also a Color Kit and an Embellishment Kit.

Now for my version of the January Kit -  Renew.
I didn't pull any cardstock but reserve the right to pull as needed. I did include some vellum and transparency scraps to use but didn't include them in the picture. .

My papers include:
Prima - Annalee Collections "Ashton" DCWV - Ultimate Premium Stack - Fall, Prima - Angelique Collection "Heavenlies"; Shabby Chic Collection "Sweet"; Angelique Collection - "Wings"' My Minds Eye - Howdy Doody "Happy" Beach Stripe Paper, Tiny Dancer "Ballet", "Jazz" and "Chasse"

I couldn't find any grey papers that I wanted to include so I left them out and could not make up my mind on what I wanted to include for the black and white paper so I pulled what I had remaining in the Ultimate Premium Stack Black and White. I also am including an 8 1/2 x 11 paper pack my youngest gave me - The Paper Studio - Four Seasons and Everything in Between, which I'm planning on using for cards.

Now for the embellishments:

I have a little bit of everything here:
Chipboard - journal spots, butterflies, birds, and a dress form; Tags from Creative Imaginations,
Various Ribbons and trims, Wood birds, Buttons, Flowers and a Flowering Branch, clips and clothes pins, DIY butterflies, enamel dots and a dress.

My version of the Hip Kit's Color Kit:

I've included a couple of the Distress Stains - Tumbled Glass and Spun Sugar, I have the Broken China in an ink pad and will include that.
Stamps: Stampin' Up - Notably Ornate and Distressed Dots Background stamp
Unity Kit of the Month: May 2011 {... think HAPPY thoughts}- flower circle frame stamp, March 2011 {Just You} - butterfly frame stamp, January 2012 {Heart & Soul} - Scalloped Rectangle Frame stamp, and August 2012 {Colors of the Season} - Scallop Oval Frame
Studio g - Mini alphabet stamps.
I also included a jar of miscellaneous jewelry pieces some broken, some there is only one piece that I hope to include on the layouts.  I will add crewel yarn or embroidery thread as needed.

I also like Susan and Tina's idea of including a Cricut Cartridge in the kit. Now I am having a hard time just picking one and played with Design Studio to design a couple of layouts and came up with these cartridges: Damask Décor, George and the Basic Shapes, Martha Stewart Seasonal, Storybook,  Sweetheart, Weddings and Wild Card  are what I've used so far.

Don't forget to check out the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog for some new year inspiration.

Gorgeous patterned papers. I love your idea of using jewellery on your pages - I'm tucking that idea away for next time something breaks!!
