December Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog - My December Daily

This year the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog is doing things differently.  They didn't choose a kit for us to get our inspiration from like they have in previous months, they are instead having A Counterfeit Kit Challenge Christmas Carol! The three parts will be The Memories of Christmas Past, The followers of A Christmas Present and The Expectation of Christmas Future.  (This is a really long post)

The last several months I have been making page kits within my Counterfeit Kit.  This  month I did not do that. Last year I purchased Nicole Jones' Let's Document December class and followed it the whole month. I gathered my supplies, made a few die cuts, cut apart some paper and that was about as far as I got. I wanted to complete a December Daily for the three of us. The guy's books were suppose to be done before December so that they could snap their pictures and add them as the month went by.   So this year I pulled out my the three Iris containers of Christmas goodies - I haven't even looked at it all year - to work on a December Daily for me for this year and the guy's binders for next year. Yes I do mean I will give it to in 2017 which means no stress for me.

In the first Iris Container I store most of the Christmas paper. DCWV - The Christmas Stack, Holiday Collection - The Christmas Stack and Holiday Collection The Christmas Stack Foiled and Glittered double sided card stock ; Recollections - Bright and Jolly paper pad;

 K and I Memories - Winter collection.

The second Iris container is a combination of what doesn't fit in the other two Iris containers. I had purchased a couple of Christmas Card and Paper kits years ago - like 2012 from Paper Wishes. So last year I spent most of my time cutting these apart while watching everyone making their December Daily. The Shaped Christmas Card kit is now is 6x8 sheet protectors for me to pull out the one I want and add to my scrapbook page or December Daily since I will not use them as cards. The other purchase from Paper Wishes is The 8x8 Christmas paper pad. It contains Christmas paper a then sheets of embellishments. These are in snack bag ready to use. There are two Page Kits one from Doodle Bug and the other is from The Paper Studio.

The Doodles Bugs is Let's Kit Together Christmas Kit is from 2005.

 The Paper Studio is Christmas Basic Page Kit from 2013.

The embellishments from both page kits were added to my third Iris container.

Did I mention that there was Journaling Cards?  Snap Cards - Cozy Christmas in 3z4 and 4x6; The Paper Studio Pocket Card  - Christmas in 3x4 and 4x6;

Becky Higgins Christmas Wishes value kit and lots of printable cards.

Stickers -Deja Views - "Christmas Wishes" and "Merry Christmas";K & I Memories - Winter collection, Making Memories -Christmas and Winter
Rub Ons: making Memories - Winter Holidays; My Minds Eye - Our Snowman; Kaiser Craft - Dash Away

 A new purchase last year was the 12x12 acetate pad from We R Memory Keepers which I thought would make great dividers. I also have a few pieces of shelf liner that I wanted to add as dividers.  I have a photo of my youngest hugging a snowman that I want to scrap with the "our snowman" rub on. His page will be the 8 1/2 x 11 while mine will be the 12x12. I'm hoping that they are still good rub ons.

Doilies - Celebrate It - Christmas Noel - snowflake and peppermint - these are in three different sizes; Dollar Store - Red, Green and Snowflake - in two sizes. This was actually a new purchase this year.

The third Iris container has nothing but embellishments in it. I have two of the divided trays and it is packed full. Most of the items are from Paper Wishes as part of the card and paper kits

Paper Wishes brads - snowflakes, Christmas trees, stockings, reindeers; Glitter Dome Stickers - white, blue, red, silver and pink from small to large; Chipboard Christmas Frames, Vinyl Tags, A pocket, ribbon and Felt shapes of gingerbread men, joy, trees and candy canes.
I cut apart card sticker sheets and three dimensional sheets that I've had for years, added Christmas ribbon from my stash, Tim Holtz Acrylic shapes that look like ornaments (they are buried under the red, white and green ribbon in tray #1), Washi Tape, die cuts, buttons, and the elements from the K and I Memories Winter Collection. I also added a mini alphabet from Cloud 9 Designs and sequin shapes. The wood veneers I bought last year when I thought I would be able to do the December Daily - Snowflakes and Trees.

For the December Daily Albums I purchased three of Simple Stories Albums to use. I thought I would try to  keep it simple this year.

Thanks for stopping by.
