Baby Album Bookmark

The background papers are just slightly smaller than the glitter frame. I used two different papers for the background. I wanted the heart to show through the frame on the bottom half of the bookmark. Using George cut 2 letter B’s, for the lower case cut the top off one of the “B’s” and glue onto tan paper. The scallop square is cut using the Celebrations cartridge from glitter paper. I used a square punch to cut the inside out and stamped baby in black below the glitter frame. Wrap the lace around the bottom of the card and attach another scrap the length of the finished bookmark. I used the slot punch to punch the hole for the ribbon to go through, sewed the button to the ribbon, and used a pop up dot to hold the flower on.

Recipe: Paper: Scraps of paper – two for background papers, tan, black glitter paper and one for the back of the bookmark.
Stamp: Hero Art – Small Variety Alphabet
Cricut Cartridges: Celebrations – Scallop Square 2 ½”. George – Letter B at 1 ¼”
Misc: Ribbon, lace, flower, button, thread, pop up dot square punch, slot punch, black ink

Freinds, Family, Celebrate . . .

I'm trying to finish up a few projects I've started and here is one of them. I have gotten the images from Dover Publications. You can sign up for free downloads. They will send an e-mail and they have all types of images. The one's I'm using are already colored and have the stain glass look.

I printed these on regular paper and embossed with clear embossing powder right away, three times. I then matted them on black card stock and trimmed. After adding glue to the back I slipped on a circle paper clip.

The book marks are cut from card stock 2 3/4" x 5" and each is just a different shade in the same color family. I wanted them to go together but not match and I'm trying to use the scraps. The black paper is scalloped with the Fiskars template and 5" long. As you can see each one is a different width. The background paper is 1 3/4" wide.

I then stamped the frame stamp with black ink on the red, blue and green paper, cut around the outside and inside with and X-acto knife. After centering the frame on top of the Original Definitions which was stamped on white card stock, cut the white paper so that it does not show. I used the pop-up dots behind this so it sets away from the front of the card. Each card is punched behind this for the ribbon.

The letters are cut using the Cricut and the Printing Press cartridge at 1 1/4" and the framed option. The copper paper is actually a purchased card base. I wanted something to go with the paperclip and I didn't have card stock to match. It is backed with a purple textured cardstock.

I then punched and tied the ribbon next to the image in the lower left corner.
