Smile

In Design Studio I made the file folder using George and the Basis Shapes. "Smile" is cut from Printing Press. The shadow for smile is done in black cut out at the same size and just offset a little to the right. I inked the white inside rectangles green. While I cut this using the 12 x 12 mat, each element could be cut separately and rotated horizontally, cut on the baby bug, and then glued to your 12 x 12 background paper.

Month 2

These pages are 12 x 12 and the for the photo is approx 7 x 10. If you are making a page and using the 8.5 x 11 you will have to scale down the Design Studio file to fit the smaller mat.

I've been making the monthly layouts in both boy and girl colors. The difference is in the onesies, blue for boy and pink for girl. I used Tigger on this Month 2, and actually made him bigger than the size for month one. I also used the Cricut Markers on the onesies to emphasize the lines and hand colored Tigger's nose.

Boo!

Don't you just love Halloween!. Here is my October CD Jewel Case calendar for October.

Jen C of the Cricut Message board designed this haunted house, her blog is Brain Things.
At the time I thought I would never use it, but when I was trying to put October together I knew I had to use it. The Haunted house is using the George Cartridge.

As usual I made this from scraps with the exception of the black for the haunted house and the calender is made in Publisher.

Paper Mesh

On the Cricut Boards there is a Paper Mesh Swap. There is going to be some wonderful ones. I have recently purchased the Paper Dolls Dress Up and the Printing Press cartridges I'm sure glad I did.

Before I cut the Cowboy one I swapped out the Cricut blade for the Cricut Marker and cut, then pressed load paper, swap out the Cricut Marker for the Cricut blade and pressed cut on Design Studio.

I have to wait until the Swap closes before I can post my cut file for you to download.

Brothers . . .

I'm working a scrapbook page of my guys, and I wanted some sort of Word Mesh. I've seen the number's for sale, and all kinds of stamps but not what I wanted for the page. Boy do I love my Cricut. The words are, Brothers, buddy, Friends, Best, Pals, and Boys. Brothers, and Friends and Boys and Pals share the letter "S". I used the Printing Press Cartridge for this.

Here's a tip when removing the mesh - as I pull my piece up I place a piece of wax paper underneath it. It keeps the piece from re-sticking itself back to the mat.
