Mini Album Wednesday - Family - Part One

I've been working on a few mini albums and thought that I would post the pages I've completed on Wednesdays. Here is the first album and the pages are 7x10 so it's not quite a mini.

I recycled chipboard - think cereal boxes - making this album and used a Scrapbook Heaven Kit for the background paper except for the album's front and back covers. I purchased a few items just for this mini album and they are the silk flowers, berries, butterflies and the paper for the front and back covers. Everything else is from my stash.

Here is a close up of the flowers and berries. The silk flowers and berries are some that I picked up at Michael's on sale and I grabbed a couple of bunches each so I have left overs which I can paint to go with my next color scheme.

The inside of the front cover is pretty basic. I used a lot of scrap paper up making this album and the first page is an example of that. I only had this much of the polka dotted paper so I punched the edge and made a place for a tag to go. I used foam tape on this so that she can add more notes if she wants.
Here's the front and back of the tag. I hand cut this tag after gluing a solid and pattern paper to each other, then added the rub on to the journaling spot. The ribbon is from my scrap ribbon jar.
The quote on the tag reads - A good friend is better than therapy.

If you have a question about a certain page or technique just leave a comment and get back to you. Thanks for stopping by.
