Congratulations - Die Cuts

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me from the Card A Day Blog. Today's card is a continuation of Die Cuts and I'm using a Spellbinders Shapabilites Pendant In Spades die.  There are actually four pieces to this die set but I am only using two - the large pendant and the square center.

I started off with a 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" black cardstock, scored at 2 1/4" and 4 1/2" on the 8 1/2" side.   I centered the die on the 2 1/4" score line and  ran through my Cuttlebug cutting only the inside half of my card.  I then ran the die through again so that I am embossing the whole die onto the card front. I used a ruler and X-acto knife to cut away the inside of the die cut along the scored line. I

I cut my pattern paper to 1 7/8" x 5 3/8" and die cut it. I die cut and embossed a piece of the silver and white cardstock with the large pendant die. I die cut and embossed a piece of black and pattern paper with the square center die.

Now it's time to assemble the card.  I glued the blue pattern paper to the front and the inside of the card. I used pop up dots behind the silver pendant. I added adhesive behind the white pendant and lined it up with the silver pendant and folded the card closed so that the pendants line up.   I then added the black square center to the front of the card and a few white pearls.  On the inside of the card I added the blue square center and the sentiment with pop up dots.  A few more pearls and my card is done.

I haven't decided what stamp to use on the envelope so I have tuck a little bit of the blue pattern paper inside the flap to correspond with the card.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed today's card.  Don't forget to stop back to see what the rest of the Design Team has in store for you at the Card A Day Blog.
