Ellis Island - Wall of Honor

One of the things Marie and Jean wanted to do while we were in New York was go to Ellis Island. My DH snapped a picture of us walking back to the building after we had walked around the Wall of Honor.

I used my January Counterfeit Kit - Fresh Start for this layout (click on the picture to make them larger).

All of the papers in this kit are from the DCWV Heirloom Stack except the cardstock that the photos are mounted on.  I distress all the edges then inked them in Color Box - brown.

I glued the buttons on with hot glue as there is a shank in the middle. The "adventure" and "journey" are on foam tape for more dimension.

Thanks for stopping by.

Ooh, Cindy, this is such a lovely layout. I love seeing shabby chic style layouts done so well (it's not a style I've been able to master myself) and all of the inking and distressing look perfect!
