I always make or buy a Christmas ornament for my guys each year for their Christmas trees. I pulled out my January Counterfeit Kit - Snowman Kisses for these layouts.
I wasn't planning on using the Merry Christmas paper that was in the Paper Studio pack, but it worked for my annual Christmas Tree Ornament page. I only have two of these 12x12 papers but I had the sticker sheet that had the same Santa Clause on the sticker sheet. I figured I could make the 8 1/2 x 11 using that, green cardstock and the red and white strip paper for my youngest son's layout.
I love the way this turned out. I trimmed the red and white stripe paper then made my border on the green cardstock added the stickers and it is similar to the 12x12 paper.
Now for my oldest son's layout. I again used scraps of Christmas paper that was included in my Counterfeit Kit to make the banners. They are scraps so they do not go all the way behind the photo's.
For the second layout, the 12x12 sheet I'm using for my grandson. He was born the 22nd of December and I wasn't planning on buying an ornament for him for 2019, but he came to us early. I found this adorable mailbox for him.
I normally make a similar page for my scrapbook of their ornaments. I have not at this time so there will be one more to come. I have some of the red and white stripe paper left on of course scraps and alpha stickers but no more Santa stickers. It will be similar but not necessarily the same as these pages.
Thanks for stopping by.

Ho Ho Ho and Merry and Bright
Using my January Counterfeit Kit - CKC Snowman Kisses I finished the set of pages for my oldest. I have 2 12x12 layouts.
Ho Ho Ho Layout:
I started with the Bella Blvd "Gifts Galore" paper cutting it down then layering a on top. this paper has the cutest Christmas icons on it. This is on top of a DCWV - The Holiday Stack green polka dot paper and red cardstock.
The Ho Ho Ho was actually a tag, so used foam tape behind it and used the red yarn to wrap it a round the bottom layers. I added a "love" sticker on the journaling mat and sprinkled sequins around the page. . The red and white strip is another sticker that I just cut to fit behind the papers
Merry and Bright:
I started with the Holly and Berries paper layering it onto the same green polka dot paper from DCWV - The Holiday Stack. The red Christmas Gifts paper is the back side of the Bella BLVD "Gifts Galore" paper. I brought in the red and white strip paper for my photo mats. The "Merry and Bright" project life card is one I had printed off and was in my stack of cards. I added a snowman from the sticker pack. then sprinkled the snowflakes and sequins around the page.

Mary had a little lamb
I'm using my January Counterfeit Kit Challenge kit for a non Christmas themed layout. The January prompt at Archi-scraps this month look's like this,
and the challenge is: to be inspired by a Fairy Tale.
We had a new addition to our family just before Christmas and I'm scrapping about that.
I had quite the challenge with the lambs. I just couldn't get my Silhouette to cut them out properly and finally just cut out white ones then fussy cut the lambs and layered them on top of the Silhouette cut.
I used a light blue cardstock on my layout, as I only had two pieces of the blue K and I Memories blue paper and I didn't like that much of the plaid showing by using the scraps.
Thanks for stopping by.

I used the blue paper and the stripe paper from the Paper Set 2 Celebrate Life paper. I added some plaid paper from the DCWV The Basics stack for the background and the mat behind the photo as I wanted just a little bit more layering.

Happy Birthday Layout
I used the leftover pieces from the Birthday card I created last week and one of May's Page Maps sketches from May for a birthday layout.
Recipe:
Counterfeit Kit Challenge - May CKC - Adventure Awaits
Paper: Recollections - Honeycomb yellow, black and white cardstock and Echo Park - Captured Life "Love Script"
Ink: Distress Ink - black soot
Stamps - Close to My Heart - Say it in style
Die: Tin Holtz - Weathered Clock
Mist: Glimmer Mist - Pearl and Lemon Zest; Black - Acrylic Paint and water
Misc.: Adhesive, Cuttlebug, foam tape, and twine - black and white
I really liked the bird element on the sketch so I punched the bird out of yellow cardstock and left off the strips of paper, it just didn't look right with my 8 1/2x11 layout.
I did ink all the edges and wrapped twine around the photo mats. I have another 12x12 sheet of the Honeycomb yellow paper and a few scraps of the Echo Park - Capture LIfe "Love Script" paper that I can do a pocket page or another 8 1/2x11 Layout.

A New Tradition Layout
A few years ago we changed our Christmas routine when my youngest son was unable to spend any time with us due to his job. I didn't have any pictures of our car packed up and the five of us on the road, but I did have a picture of Izzy our Chihuahua standing at the steering wheel of our car as we were checking into the hotel.
I started by pulling a page kit together. It's really easy for me as I keep all my Christmas papers and embellishments in and Iris box - actually I have three of them for Christmas.
I started by pulling a page kit together. It's really easy for me as I keep all my Christmas papers and embellishments in and Iris box - actually I have three of them for Christmas.
Here's my kit put all together. I have four sheets of pattern paper, a few different sizes of labels, wood veneer, and three different alphabets.
My page came together really quick. Below is my layout, where I used two different alphabets. On traditions I had to make a "t" as I only had one so I cut up the letter h. I'm trying to get the alphabets used up and I know I don't have enough of the darker blue to make three titles.
I added a rectangle of the dark blue cardstock so that I had a place to put my year and the wood veneer tree. I made sure I had plenty of room at the top of the layout for the snowflake. I used some of the smaller labels for the embellishment clusters.
I had already printed the photo, matted it onto white cardstock and the dark blue cardstock so I added a piece of white and dark blue cardstock to extend it down for the year. I also ran out of the "i" and cut the bottom of the "j".

the whole story
My previous layout used a sketch from Christy's Beautiful Life 30 Days of Sketches on her YouTube channel, I'm again using the sketch but this time for my guy's layouts. You can check out the details on day one here.
Since I had the leaves left over from the previous layout I added them to this one then stamped the tree and fuzzy cut it. I printed "the whole store" and " , , , and it goes" onto white cardstock for the title. I again colored the heart die cut red but also did one with a gold paint pen.
The brown circle was also in my reject box and I cut it in half to give the leaves and "the whole story" a starting place.
In case you are wondering from my reject box with 3 layouts completed I have used:
11 Sequins; 3 Map tags, 7 hearts that have been colored, 3 pieces of twine, 1 die cut circle, 3 labels, 1 3x4 project life card grid.

Wet Spring
I used the May sketch from Creative Scrappers for my layout today. I included the alphabet paper from the Recollections Home Basics 6x6 paper pad in my Counterfeit Kit. Then I realized that I also have the 12x12 pad.
I matted it onto Kraft cardstock then created my grid. Each square is matted onto white cardstock then green cardstock. I typed the journaling, date and location to white cardstock, cut it out then added it to my tag and journaling spot.
For my guys I left off the embellishments as I do not know what pictures they are putting on here.
The 8 1/2x 11 has 4 photo spots and I changed the orientation.

Vacation and Explore New Places
I used my Page Set 9 from my July Summer Fun Counterfeit Kit for this set of layouts. My oldest had a couple of days back east that he was able to take in some sights.
I exchanged the blue and green tags for a couple of the map tags, then layered them with a few green sticker labels for a little bit of journaling on each tag. I also changed the orange black and white twine to brown twine.
I used the 2" circle punch to make the scalloped border with some embossed yellow paper.

Top of the Rock
This layouts comes from the March Counterfeit Kit - Waiting for Spring. using page set #3. I really like being able to pull a page set from my kit and scrap using what is in it.
This is what is in Page Kit #3: DCWV Green Cardstock; Pink Paisley - She Art "Soar", Fancy Pants - Botanical "Tulip". There are a few buttons, some silk flowers, a die cut flowers, a couple of shaped brads, lace and some glass squares.
I added a green label, journaling spot, die cut birdies (they were already cut out) and an green stamped image that was already stamped. I didn't use the ribbon, flower buttons, glass squares, and shaped brads. I put them in the kit with the remaining paper that I haven't used.

Special:
I'm finishing up my January Counterfeit Kit with a couple of double page layouts and a Snowman Layout in 8 1/2x 11"
First up is a 12x12 double page layout.
I used the Art Screen Ink on the wooden bird, I'm surprised how sparkly they are in real life.
I had the scallop border from another project, I just sprayed them with the bronze Glimmer Mist and cut them down to size. The cluster are repeated on the next page, I just changed the orientation of the birds.
For the 8 1/2x11 pages I used a different scrap of blue cardstock for the accent and changed the orientation of the photo mats.
The Snowmen Silhouette file was used on this layout. My Silhouette did want to cut nicely so I hand cut the snowmen to fit the 8 1/2x11 mat. I wanted to cut it out of pattern paper but it just wasn't working so I cut it our of white cardstock. The top part did not cut nicely so I hand cut it to fit this page.
Paper: Counterfeit Kit January - New Beginnings and various cardstock
Ink: Distress Ink - evergreen bough and broken china
Glimmer Mist: Tattered Angels - Bronze
Misc.: Adhesive, foam tape, Heidi Swapp Art Screen Ink - Mint, unknown flower, unknown Washi, wooden bird, word beads and Zots

Moving Day
In my January Counterfeit Kit I included a few sheets of BoBunny "The Avenues" Door paper. My guys are moving into a house in February and this paper is perfect to showcase the move.
I didn't want to completely cover up the door paper so I used a piece of tracing paper ( I couldn't find any vellum), to mute it just a little.
I added the Poolside paper to the top and bottom of the paper then layered the ribbon on the bottom.
I used the Silhouette and Chunk Five font to make my title.
The digital stamp is from Beyond the Fringe and is perfect for a moving day.
The pickups are colored in two different colors to represent the color of the trucks they drive. I thought it was a perfect way to personalize their pages.
I made tags to go behind the pickups for journaling. Now they are just waiting for photos.

Snow Bath
I pulled out my January Counterfeit Kit to make a quick layout.
I had made a stencil from one of Traci Reeds digital cut files. She made a 4x6 and 3x6 card but I wanted to used the design as a stencil. I had a scrap of stencil material and made the file to fit my scrap.
I just used modeling paste with the stencil for my background. and stenciled in two places. I love that it looks like snowflakes.
I embossed a piece of tracing paper with and used that as a background for the phot and mat. As I was putting away Christmas decorations I found a poinsettia flower that I added to the page. The journaling is on the back of the layout and reads: Our first snow was not really heavy and looks like glitter in the sun. I had to take a picture of the bird bath with the snow piled up - it looks like a cake.

Movies with you -
I saw the Scrapbook and Card Today has the January Sketch Challenge up. So I pulled out my January Counterfeit Kit - New Beginning to make a couple of layouts.
Dale and I went to the movies on Monday since we both had the day off. I thought this layout would be perfect to capture a few of the movies we see during the year. Sometimes I keep the stubs and normally don't scrap them, now I have a place for them.
All of the 2x2 square are inked along with the papers. I pulled the strip paper from some the Mint Julep collection. I just need a bit of color behind the ribbons. I use my Silhouette with the font Grand Hotel to make the title "movies", cut it out of white cardstock and spray it with Glimmer Mist.
I printed off the cover from the theater from the internet and typed the title. I'll add more titles as we
see a movie. We normally wait to watch them on TV. My youngest was with us when we were at the movies so I started his page off with the same one.
I used the "fun" acetate and stapled it to the doily.
I used the circle rub ons to add the year to movie listing.
Thanks for stopping by.

Remember This
Here's another layout using some of the scraps from my Fresh Start January Counterfeit Kit.
It really is straight but I could not get a pictured of it being straight. My oldest had given me the Tim Holts Feather Duo die and embossing folder for Christmas. I love the way it turned out on this page.
I needed to fill the backside of the pocket page from Live Each Moment so I matched it up with this Remember This layout.
I stamped and hand cut a few feathers on a couple of different papers. I then added a couple of the die cut feathers to the 4x6 journal cards.
The two pages together. The stamped feathers go so nicely with the die cuts. Both of these pages are made from scraps from the Fresh Start Kit except for the kraft cardstock.
Thanks for stopping by.
