October 2020 Counterfeit Kit Reveal and Blog Hop - CKC October 2020 -

Welcome to the October 2020 Counterfeit Kit Challenge and Blog Hop ( I have the full hop listed below). Master Forger Tracey says "Here in Australia it is just starting to get warm again, the sping floers are popping up, bringing lots of colour. Which is a bit different for most of you, heading into Fall/Autumn and seeing Autumn/Fall leaves turn colour. With that in mind, I picked a kit that has both Fall and Spring colours in it, and it is a kit that is a bit different from the ordinary month kit clubs. This kit is not sold specifically through a store or monthly club, it is a selection of products (shopping list) that a well known scrapper has put together. Which means you can go shopping to purchase the items individually or pull from your own supplies at home and put together as a kit. It is The Best of Both Worlds Kit by Shimelle Laine. If you want more of an explanation on how The Best of Both Worlds Kit works pop on over to Shimelle's blog to see how she does it."

The kit Tracey has chosen is the September's edition of The Best of Both Worlds by Shimelle Laine. "The "Shopping List" updates at the start of each month so if you go to the blog now you will see nest month's list (October) which is not the we are doing".

Now that you've seen the kit please welcome our Guest Designer Machelle Willing for the month of October who can be found here.

Now for my October Kits - CKC October 2020 - Sing Me Away. First up is my 12x12 papers.

The first 5 papers are from Jen Hadfield Chasing Adventure paper pad (2018), {As I was putting my paper pads away I also pulled out teal polka dot from that paper pad not pictured}White Wood grain from Simple Stories Wood and Gingham (2017), red brick paper from Jen Hadfield from Simple Life paper pad (2016), Gray and White floral square paper from Jen Hadfield Heart of Home paper pad (2017), Green and gray distressed paper is from DCWV Old World Stack (2011), next two green papers are Jen Hadfield Heart of Home paper pad (2017), Polka Dot paper is from Tim Holtz Idea-ology Correspondence paper pad (2015) and the wood grain is from My Mind's Eye - Fiddlestick "Home"(2012).

Now you may have noticed I do not have any orange or yellow paper. I just could not find what I was looking for in a 12x12 piece so I pulled out a couple of 6x6 paper pads

For the orange color I have Pebbles Woodland Forest (2016) which I think I only used one piece. For the yellow I picked the We R memory keepers Antique Chic (unknown year).

Now for some embellishments.

I have included Pebbles Printed wood veneer (2016) and cardstock shapes (2016), Fancy Pants "Joy Parade" ephemera pack, Fancy Pants "The Bright Side" Tags and Labels,  Bird die, Tree die, Stitched heart die for the heart paper,  two different wood stencils and DIY Enamel Dots.

I have not pulled any cardstock or ink but will add that as I go.

Now your next stop is Julene you can check here out here

Your kit looks a little like mine, I think! ;) I love your paper choices! Are those 6x6 paper pads for the SG class?

Hi Tara, No I don't think so, I just couldn't find yellow and orange 12x12 paper I liked. I have page kits set up for the 6x6 class mainly uses 12x12 papers.
