May 2021 Counterfeit Kit Reveal and Blog Hop

Welcome to the May Counterfeit Kit Challenge and Blog Hop, you should have arrived here from Tracey's blog. I have the full blog hop listed below. Julene is our Master Forger this month and she has chosen the Close to My Heart Eat Play Love kits.  She says, "I love a vintage vibe and as a 1950's baby, this one appealed to me. There's cooking theme plus big bright cherries ad red roses. Pretty florals, plaids, plain bright colors and even some neutral Kraft and white. Plenty of scope for you to forge. It reminds me of October Afternoon papers, but there are other brands with that vintage 1950s feel or cooking themes".

Here's a look at the Eat Play Love Scrapbooking Workshop Kit:

Don't you just love the colors in this kit and the canning jars?  Our Guest Designer this month is Kyla Skidmore Schrake. You can find her blog here, so please give her a warm welcome. As always I have the full blog hop listed below.

I went rogue again this month and am using a collection I already have. I pulled out We R Memory Keepers - Farmers Market (2014). I have quite a bit of it left as I think I only did a layout or two with it years ago.

My colors a little bit muted compared to the inspiration kit, but it has flowers and canning jars and gingham.

Most of the papers have three sheets so it will be easy making multiple layouts with this kit.

Included with the kit was some journal cards and a 6x6 paper pad. I know I'm horrible at using the journal cards and the 6x6 paper pads I usually make cards. I'm going to try to use them both on layouts this month.

Here is the full Farmers Market Kit I will be using this month. I will be adding in cardstock as needed with this kit. From here you need to hop on over to Julene to see what she used for her kit this month.

I love it when we go rogue and this is a super example of how to keep within the inspiration but make it totally your own! This is a great kit. Way to go Cindy!

Wonderful take on the inspiration :) It's great to take on one part of it and make it your own :)
