Thank You Blossom Card

This is the card I made for my card swap this month. I always do a sample card and when I'm happy with the way it is I make the cards for the card swap, but I wasn't thinking of how many pieces I need to punch out to make 9 of these cards.

I used two pieces of pattern paper for the base. The flower is three of the large petals with two of the solid large petals behind and the flower center is attached on top of the ribbon and flower.

I stamped the medium flower petals on the envelope and the small flower petals on the inside of the card.

Thanks for stopping by.

Mr. and Mrs.

We have a wedding to go to on Saturday and this is card I made for the new couple. I am also going to make this card for my Monthly Card Swap.

I cut my blue accent paper 3.75 x 2.5 and pressed it onto my stamp so that I could see where it was going and to make sure I had most of the image on the paper. I then used clear embossing powder on it to give and added texture. This piece was glued onto the white embossed cardstock and the ribbon was wrapped around it.

I made the bow separate and used a glue dot to attach it to the ribbon. It's a simple but elegant card and can be made using any brides colors.

Heartfelt Sympathy

I needed a couple of Sympathy cards and this is what I came up with. I don't know about you but I have a hard time making this type of card, so I figured keeping it plain and simple was the best.

I used the cuttlebug folder Bird Call for the main image on my card. I placed my cardstock where I wanted it to show off the bird then embossed.

Here's a close up of the embossing. It really didn't picture well but it looks great in person.

I did a search for Sympathy in Design Studio and did not find anything. So I searched my stamps and came up with this on from My Sentiments Exactly. I cut the "With" from the rest of the stamp as it was a long one.

After I had made my cards I realized I did not check Cricutsearch.com. There are actually four cartridges that have sympathy on them and I have two of them. I've included those cuts on my file for you.
