Flap Mini Album

I decided to make a mini flap album.  The album is 6x6 with a couple of pages 3"x6" pages and 5"x6" pages and is bound on both sides. This is my last entry for the Scrap It Girl Mini Album Challenge.

The front of the album is 3" x 6" for each of the pages.  I'm once again using scraps to make my mini album.  The kit is using up some embossed paper.

Here is the first set of pages after the flaps on the front are opened.

I cut out some flags for a mini banner on the side flaps.

The next set of pages measure 5" x  6", they overlap but do not get in the way of the binding.

For the pages on either side I'm using the pre-punched and die cut items on this mini album.  I had made a bunch of mini envelopes and I have one included here.

I used the lattice and two tags die for this page.

A little bit of ribbon and the label punch to finish off this one.

I inked around the baroque die.

The last set of pages.

Just added a punched and inked photo label to the pages.  There is room for the photo to slide behind the labels.

The back page is the 6"x 6" page

Thanks for stopping by.

Blue Raspberry Mini Album

Here is my second mini album for the Scrap It Girl August Mini Album Challenge.  I've had this Blue Raspberry 8x8 paper pack so long I don't even know where I got it.  I think it looks wonderful on this mini album.  I used some of the punch outs from the paper pack and added a few things from my stash.

I used a bit of lace on the left hand side then added a heart doily. I used  a couple of the punch out flowers with glossy accents on them then layered both silk and Prima flowers on top.

The pocket holds a piece of punched cardstock with 4 mats for cards or journaling, a little bit of lace on side and a few pearls finish off the page.

I had to use the medallion stamp on a piece of transparency.  I cut traced around the album top for the shape, cut it out and punched a hole in the top.  The image is heat embossed with clear embossing powder. A pearl in the center of each side finishes it off.

I purple and green daisy came from a Scrapbook Heaven kit, the other flowers I sprayed with a couple of different mists.

I used foam tape to raise the photo mat up to make a pocket for the tags.  I used a 3/4" circle punch and a 1/8" hole punch on each tag.

The butterflies is from my die cut and punches I use when I'm down to scraps, I just pulled out my Purple one for the side of the page.

Love that there was a punch out of a paisley in the paper pack.  I used the photo corner punch on most of the pages.

Another paisley and a few pearls for this page.

I used one of the tags that was included with the paper.  A few had made flowers on the left side to finish it off.  Except for the lace I only used the brown ribbon in this album.

I misted a heart and cut the lower left side to peak out the left side of the photo mat.  I added a few silk flowers to finish off the page.

Another look at the album front.

 Thanks for stopping by.

More than the Moon and the Stars . . .

The Challenge at Scrap It Girl this month is Mini Album's.  (Please note that this post is photo heavy). I pulled out the Tim Holtz's Baroque Die and started cutting my chipboard and papers for my album.  My great niece and nephew are at that age that they say the cutest things.  This mini album is for those saying.

The album has a total of 6 pages including the front and back covers.  I left two pages blank incase she wants to put a large photo on the page.

I turned the little piece of film strip into a journal strip. The film strip is what was left over from a layout I did here.

Back cover of the mini album and the finished one is below with the rings.

When ever I stamp, use my dies, make a card or layout I keep my pieces - I'm using some of those pieces on this mini album.  If you have a question about something please let me know.

Thanks for stopping by.
