June 2018 - Challenge #2 - Midsummer Madness!

Challenge #2 at the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog is  all about the summer solstice.  It's almost midsummer's day here in the northern hemisphere and I for one, love this turn of the year. Watching the days get longer until they reach this high point before the sun starts to head south again and days get shorter again is part of the year's rhythm that I particularly note. And we all know just how much the Scandinavians mark Midsummer's Day with parties and celebrations. Celebrate the summer solstice (or the winter solstice if you are south of us!) for yourself with your project.

I look forward to the warm temperatures and enjoying our patio.  I move most of my houseplants outside and add a few flowering baskets. We get  to see a few birds hatch under the eves. The best part is enjoying a game or two with the kids when they come over after dinner.

We are playing scrabble after dinner on Mother's Day weekend. My oldest was at Camp Ripley for Drill weekend.

I went back and added a few rhinestones and enamel dots along with some embroidery floss to the layouts.

Thanks for stopping by.  Don't forget to check out the Counterfeit Challenge blog to link up your project, the Counterfeit Kit Facebook Group or on  Instagram (find us @counterfeitchallenge and share with #counterfeitchallenge )
