Cermaic Tree

The Winter 2017 Kit from Scrapbook and Cards Today had instructions for cutting out the Christmas Lights paper and using it on a layout. I had saved this piece of paper because I wanted to use the light but I also needed to make 3 layouts from one sheet.

I started with my oldest layout first.  I cut out the lights but didn't quite fallow the instructions for putting onto the plaid paper. I also left the bird on the string of lights. I Made a couple of tags one from blue cardstock and the other from white. I did uses the circle embellishment from the kit but made the colored dots on the pattern paper and the striped paper rectangle at the bottom.

Of course the layout for my youngest is an 8 1/2 x 11 layout with part of the other string of lights with the bird on his layout. I did back each of the layouts onto white cardstock.

I used the left over string lights on my layout and another circle from the embellishment kit.

My journaling is typed and printed onto white cardstock and reads "When I was putting the Christmas Decorations up this year, I decided that it was time that I gave one of the ceramic Christmas Trees up. Both trees are ones that Mom made years ago. The smaller on is one that Mom made for me when I moved away from the ranch. I took the smaller ceramic Christmas Tree and set that aside for the guys. The larger Christmas Tree is the one that Mom would wet out every year."

Thanks for stopping by.
