I pulled the woodgrain paper, trimmed it to fit the 12x12 paper and added a white center. I then added a couple of the pattern papers from Jen Hadfield "Best Of" that were in my kit and brought in the black and white. I wanted a little more contrast. I cut some cardstock strips for the banners then added the photo mats and embellishments.
I was doing some cleaning and found a few pieces from the Simple Stories Carpe Diem and thought it was perfect for these layouts. the cupcake and heart pin. I stamped the banner, mounted it onto foam tape and added the balloons to the bottom.
The second page continues the same colors from the first page. I added thread because of the challenge at the Facebook group Scraptember for their daily prompts.

Two different but very lovely pages! It's always amazing at how one set of supplies can result in such different layouts.
