DIY Mini Album - Tag Pocket page and Pre Punched bird

The DIY Mini Album is from page set four of the August Counterfeit Kit.
I have a total of 60 pages that I punched holes in with the Bind-It-All. The largest "O" wire that I have are 1 3/4". I definitely need to make this mini into a couple of different ones. I pick a piece of paper that inspires me and I work on that page, I am not embellishing the pages in the order that I have it in on the "O" wires - it just works for me.  I am going to show just a few of the pages with a technique I did or thought was interesting.

I have a sheet protector that I put the borders that I have punched, die cut, used the Silhouette or Cricut on and didn't use on a project or cut off.  I put my scraps of cardstock into a one gallon zip lock plastic bag and the pattern paper into another zip lock plastic bag.  I pulled these out when I started making a couple of the album pages. I am also including the Vellum Friendship Quote stack.

This page measures 7 1/4"x 5 1/8", is a pocket, used a border piece from my bag above and has a rub on it.

I used foam tape behind it so there is a little bit of room incase someone wants to tuck something in it.
The Tag was already die cut I just added a label, some graph paper for journaling and a piece of jut for the top.

This is another little page in the album. I just cut out the tag added one the pre punched birds a flower with a button and called it good. I did no a little bit of inking around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.

Mini Album

I pulled out Page Set 2 from my August Counterfeit Kit to make the Pink Paisley Artisan Album with the Deja View -fresh print Mango papers.

I covered each pages with one sheet from the Fresh Print Mango papers and used a yellow and an orange cardstock so that I only used one sheet of each paper.  The album has 6 chipboard pages so I needed two cardstock pieces.

One page one I made a vellum pocket. It is a piece of vellum that has a leaf and vine pattern on it which went well with the paper pattern. The "Enjoy Life" is one of the punch outs mounted on foam tape.

After making the pocket tucked in a few tags I made out of the white cardstock which are decorated with some of the paper scraps from the chipboard pages, labels and punch outs from the paper stack.

The back of page one has a white mat that have been inked with olive green

Page two has a 4x4 photo mat back with yellow cardstock and inked in the Terra Cotta.

The back of page two has the orange cardstock with a piece of foam that was die cut using the Stampin' Up Lattice Die. This piece was in my stash.

Page three has a light blue/grey cardstock  with a flower punch out.

The back of page three is a piece of white cardstock layered with a piece scrap from covering the pages. I just trimmed it down to fit the page.

For the front of page I left it alone. I thought about covering it with a doily and photo mat but I liked the pattern paper so I left it.

The back of page four has a photo mat and punch out brackets on it. I forgot to ink the pieces until after it was glued down.

Page five has another 4x4 photo mat this time backed with the orange cardstock. It is inked with Terra Cotta.

For the back of page five I cut my photo mat into three strips of varying widths and used a mini brad to attach the photo holder (I have no idea of what they are called) and a mini zot to hold the mini brad in place.

Page six is another page I left blank.

The back of page six has border at the bottom with a white photo mat inked in Terra Cotta.

Thanks for stopping by.

6x6 Merry Christmas Mini Album

The 6x6 Mini Album is a great project when you have some left over papers.  The chip board center is from a cereal box. I paper pieced the front of the album to get the tree and Merry Christmas where I wanted them.  I then added a little bit of lace under Merry Christmas to help hide one of my cuts.

The photo mats are cut from the Accent Essentials at 4 1/8" from blue cardstock.  I inked around the edges with VersaMagic Aegean Blue.

I punched the bird from a scrap of blue cardstock and inked around all the pieces. The ornament is also punched from a scrap of off white cardstock.  Instead of using a stamp as a the decoration on the ornament I used a piece of decorated tape.   I have pop up dots behind the bird, wings and ornaments.

From a scrap of red  cardstock I punched the Swirling Lace.  To finish off I used a piece of blue pom pom ribbon and Stampin' Up 1/2" ribbon stitched poly.

Thanks for stopping by.

Gingerbread Man Mini Album - Day 4

For day 4 of the Gingerbread Man Theme I made a 6x6 mini album.  This is such a quick and easy album that it will take you hardly any time to finish.  I am using the same K&I Memories Scrapbooking Kit just different papers.

For the cover I cut the gingerbread man out of felt sewed the buttons on and glued the beads for this eyes.  The mittens and snowflakes came with the kit and I just glued them to buttons then onto the doily punched glitter paper.  It's kind of hard to see the sparkle of the glitter paper.  All of this is onto of a Sizzix die and the modern label and word window are punched out of cardstock for a title spot. I have a sheer ribbon on the side to finish it off.

I used the mittens and snowflake on the inside along with the doily punch. These are on top of a piece of the sheer ribbon on the left hand side. I have a piece of cardstock punched with the ornament border punch on the bottom of the page.

I used the same border punch on the left side of the paper with a polka dot sticker that was in the kit. I added the 1/4" sheer ribbon to the photo mat.  My ink pad came apart on me so I have a really messy photo mat that no one will notice once the pictures are in place.

I hope you are enjoying the Gingerbread Man theme I have this week and thanks so much for stopping by.

Halloween Mini Album - Day 5

I used a Scrapbook kit from Archiver's to make these adorable 6x6 mini albums for the kids. This is going to be a long post as I did 4 of these albums in one evening after work.   Everything except the chipboard and black cardstock came in the kit.  I used a couple of punches to add some detail to the inside  pages.

Here is the first "girl" album.

I used the Baroque die as the main photo mat on the left hand side of the album and the Styled Label dies on the front of the albums

Here is my second "girl" album.

I just love the Halloween ribbon that was included in the kit.  There was enough ribbon to wrap all four of the photo mats on the left side and all of the binding.

For the "boy" album I used the skull and cross bones paper that was included in the kit.

Here is the pictures of the second "boy" album.

Recipe:
Paper: Archiver's Halloween Scrapbook kit in a bag, DCWV cardstock - black
Punch: Martha Stewart - Spiderweb punch,  Halloween Iron Fence Deep Edge Punch
Misc: pop up dots, adhesive.
Dies: Tim Holtz Baroque die and Styled Labels die.
Misc: adhesive, pop up dots, VersaMagic - black ink

Cricut 360 Challenge #8 - Back To School

The new challenge at Cricut 360 is Back to School. I decided to make a mini 6x6 album. I used a couple pieces of recycled chipboard boxes for this project. I inked all the edges of the album with Distress Ink. The page elements were either inked in brown or white.

I used a couple of different cartridges for this challenge. The photo frame is from Accent Essentials, the bus charm Doodlecharms and the boy is from A Child's Year. I used The forest Branches embossing folder to distress the frame.

I used the border feather on the Doodlecharms cartridge to create the bus border.

The alphabet mat is from Graphically Speaking and the apple charm is from Doodlecharms
