Summer layouts

I just love this swim suit paper and made a couple of summer layouts with it.  It came in one of the Piggy Tales kits.

Here is the 12x12 page which will hold a 5x7 photo and a smaller 4.5x4.5 photo in the corner.

I free handed the photo corners on the page by wrapping the paper around the corner to the back.  I also lined the barn door with a scrap of white cardstock.

Here is the 8.5 x 11 layouts.  The first page will hold a 4.25 x 4.5 photo and has a journaling tag behind the photo mat. 

This page will hold a 5x7 photo.  I used a photo corner punch on the outside pages instead of on the photo mat.

Three

The kids are turning 3 years old this year and here the layouts I did for them. I used The Graphically Speaking cartridge for the 3 word mesh and a Kit from Piggy Tales for the majority of the paper.  I did add a sheet or two of solid cardstock for the photo mats and background pieces.

First up is the 12x12 layouts

 The 12x12 layouts will hold 2 4x6 photos and I did a boy and girl layout just by changing the background papers but my "3" word mesh is still cut out of the same paper.

The 8.5 x 11 layout will hold one 4x6 and one 3x5 photo.

Then I did an 8x8 layout. 

Here is the 4x6's and the 2x8 piece for the next page.  I used a couple of punches to accent the 2x8 piece.

Summer Fun Layouts

Every once in a while I need to clean the top of my desk - to get those projects I've started and then have been unable to finish and these layouts were in that pile.

Here is the 12x12layout:

The paper is from the Thumbelina Collection from Piggy Tales.  I was getting down to the last of the collection but knew I could squeeze out a few more layouts if I used some cardstock from my stash. The white photo mats, off white journal spots and the punched background for the rubons are the only paper my stash.  "Summer fun" is from the sticker pack that was included in the kit.

Here is the 8 1/2 x 11 layout:



On each of the layouts the photo mats and journal spots are cardstock from my stash.  I used the spiral border punch on the top edge of the journal spot. 

Here is the 8x8  and 4x6 layout:


I added one of the rubons that was left in the kit to cardstock and then punched it with a decorative punch and used pop up dots when adding it to the layout so that the pictures can slide behind.




The Eyelet border punch is used thought the layouts.

Vroom - Two Page Layout

The July Piggy Tales Kit is the Tortoise and the Hare collection. Here's a couple of layouts using the kit.

The green card stock is from my stash. Since I'm making these layouts for someone else I like to have photo mats. The small green mat is on pop up dots. The blue velvet ribbon is also from my stash.

I used cardstock stickers for "Vroom" as the chipboard letters were to large.

Playful Layout

Another set of layouts from the Thumbelina Collection from Piggy Tales. I added the red pom pom trim and the peach colored card stock from my stash.

Here is the 12x12 layout:
I inked all the edges before I stuck anything down. For the 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 border I cut 5 squares. I lined then up starting in the center and working my way towards the edge. I cut off the excess then inked the edge again.

Here is the 8 1/2 x 11 layout:

I did not like any of the remaining stickers so I made one using the Sizzix die set and the Toad paper. I then used three of the flower rub ons.

Here is the 8x8 and 4x6 layout.


I used a darker red pom pom trim on this layout.


I used a border punch and pop up dots on the red border

Grow, Cherish and You are my sunshine layouts

I'm back with three quick layouts and all are done without the Cricut.


I used the papers from the April Piggy Tales Kit - Thumbelina Collection. I just love this paper and it's perfect for some Girl Layouts. The kit included 3 sheets of each paper so I was able to make an 8x8 with two 4x6 layouts, an 8 1/2 x 11 and a 12x12 layout. The difference between the layouts is that each one has a different rub.

Grow Layout 8x8:



The big butterfly was a pattern that was included in the kit. I used a punch for the smaller butterflies and the photo mat is 4 1/4 x 6 1/4 inches.

I made two of the 4x6 pages exactly the same.

Cherish Layout 8 1/2 x 11

I used two large butterflies on this lay. The photo mat is cut at 4 1/4 x 6 1/4.

You Are My Sunshine Layout 12x12"

I used two photo mats on mats on this layout cut out at 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 each and two large butterflies.

Dog Gone Cute and A Cat's Life

As you know I have a hard time using the embellishments that come with the kits, so I made a point of using the rub ons and card stock tags on these two layouts for my sister. She has added a new puppy and kitten to their family this year so these layouts are perfect!


I used the same dimensions for both layouts so that they can be facing pages. The yellow stripe is larger then the orange stripe as the fish bones did not show well with the smaller stripe.

Multi picture layouts

I finally had a minute to make a couple of layouts. I did these the old fashioned way and did not use my Cricut for either of the layouts. I did follow to some degree the directions that came with the kit. I added DCWV light blue card stock for the photo mats on both layouts. The chipboard letters and card stock tags came with the kit.





I used pop up dots for middle of the three photo mats, so that the side photos can slide behind the middle one.





Once again I used pop up dots behind the middle photo mat and the middle card stock tag.

Accordion Fold Mini Album

I made a small accordion Fold Mini Album. You can find lots of instructions on the Internet, but here is the two links that I used: Scap'NFrames.com and this one.




I decorated the front of my album with a twine wrapped "d".

The inside of the album. I have a couple of pocket pages with a few tags and barn doors in them.

And the back of the album. This is the last of the Piggy Tales 5 Little Ducks Kit paper wise. I have a few of the embellishments left but the paper is all used up.

I heart this face and Smile . . .

For my fourth set of double page layouts I used the paper crimper to add a bit of texture to the faux ribbon strips. I will have to use this technique more often.

I added a large button to the center of the heart and layered the heart onto a chipboard piece. This page was another one that had the instructions for a 12x12 page.

I crimped the border pieced and punched the top and bottom of it border. Smile if from the stickers in the kit.

Hop To It. . .

Here is the second set of double page layouts from the Piggy Tales Kit.

I made the pages really simple as the background paper has a lot going on. The "Hop To It" was one of the many rub ons that came in the kit and works perfectly as a say on the bottom of the small mat.


The ribbon I used on the tag was not included in the kit and is a scrap from another project. I used pop up dots behind the tag so that the photo could slide behind it.

Awhile back I ordered a Piggy Tales Kit, it was a sampler which came with a project list, instructions and color photos of the completed projects, and I only had to pay for shipping. Well the kit came and it was their January Kit and perfect for little boys so I made a few pages for my sister for her grandson.

I added a few pieces of DCWV cardstock, that way I didn't have to use the backside of the pattern paper. The ribbon and brad that are in the flower were not included in the kit.


I added the rubons from the kit to either side of the photo mat.
