July Counterfeit Kit Challenge and Blog Hop

Welcome to the July Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog Hop. The full hop is listed at the bottom of the page. You should have arrived here from Christine - https://www.youtube.com/@ScrappingHarden. Now for the fun stuff.

Leslie is the Master Forger in charge this month.  Our Guest Designer is Dawn, who is an active member of the CKC.

My name is DawnLyn Litz. I'm a single Mom to two adults, Autism Mom, Christian, Army Veteran, Paper Craft Artist & Owner of DawnLyn's Designs, Fibromyalgia Warrior, book lover, chocoholic, Mary Kay Consultant, and Educational Advocate & Behavioral Specialist Constant, and gym fanatic.

I love the CKC community because they are friendly and supportive of goals. I came to the group at the end of January and loved the idea of making a kit that I jumped into kit making in February. Last month I created 33 layouts with my kit.

Now for the kit. Leslie has chosen a brand new kit club for our inspirations. Leslie has this to say, " Mercy Tiara is likely a familiar name to scrapbookers & May was her first kit offer. It is a bright, playful & funky kit thanks to a focus on Jen Hadfield's Flower Child collection. Vicki Boutin's Where To Next?, Maggie Holmes' Woodland Grove, and Pink Fresh Studio's Spring Vibes all play supporting roles."

Here is my July Counterfeit Kit - CKC July 2023 - Loved. I apologize for the darkness of my photos. - it seems it's been cloudy here almost every day.

I did things a little bit differently this month.  Up first are a few papers from the Park Lane Happy Garden and Flower Garden paper pads.

I pulled these papers as they matched the flower prints from the inspiration kit.

Next is 2 - 12x12 sheets of paper from Pink Fresh - Delightful, scraps and a bunch of stickers, puffy stickers, vellum , die cuts, alphabet stickers and as I said scraps from other projects. I had originally used this kit to make a few layouts and a mini album, and these are the leftovers. I thought the blues in this kit went well with the lighter colors from the inspiration kit.

I don't expect to use all the embellishments that came with this kit, but hopefully I can get the full sized papers used up along with some of the scraps from kit.

For the last of my paper selection, I am pulling in the Paige Evans Taylor - Bloom Street Collection. Instead of pulling the papers from the pad I'm jut put the whole pad in. I can pull the papers as I need them. I believe I have some of the darker greens and aqua tones covered and the colors go beautifully with the striped paper from our inspiration kit.

I have a paper pad that has a few pages missing, the specialty paper, 2x2 mini paper pads and the embellishments. I have used this to make a few layouts and a couple of pieces for mini albums. As you can see i still have quite a collection to use up.  As for the embellishments I have die cuts, butterflies, puffy words, flower alphabet, Thicker words, and stickers. Somewhere I I have the washi tape and a few more elements that came with her set (probably in with my mini album making supplies) which I will be adding in when I find then.

Again. I have no intention of using up the paper pad or the embellishments. I just could not narrow down my selections and this leaves my options open.

Now for a few tools.

For the Park Lane papers I have no embellishments for these paper pad other than the sticker pad so I am pulling 2 Sizzix dies, a frame die, a Gina K flower stamp and die, along with a Pink fresh stamp and die set. I also have the Stories by the Month for July.

I am planning on using my scrap like for the stamping, matting photos and cutting the embellishments. I will be adding in cardstock as I was undecided on whether I wanted all white or which colors of cardstock. Can you believe that I did not include any woodgrain? I'm leaving myself the option to pull as needed.

Your next stop on the hop is Julene  - http://julenebydesign.blogspot.com/

Thanks for stopping by.

I really like your approach Cindy. You are super methodical and definitely create kits that match the way you create which is so perfect! This is a huge set of supplies but I know that you will have fun!
