OWH Sketch Challenge #134

I took a couple of minutes while cleaning off my desk to create another card for Operation Write Home.  I had the Autumn Days stamp set out and combined it with this sketch from Operation Write Home.

To finish off the card I stamped the pine cone and branch on the inside.

Masculine Cards

I'm continuing today with the cards for guys and the same color combinations.  For the first card I used the Natures Silhouettes stamp set.  I stamped the tree and grass in Pear Pizzazz, the deer in Soft Suede. I used the circle dies to cut it out and the larger circle for the brown.  I have a piece of green ribbon behind the circles.

For the inside I used the pine cone and branch stamp from the Autumn Days set.  Then punched it out.

I used three of the circle dies to cut my circles out of.  I have two different colors of black for my cogs around the circle. 

I cut a couple of the cogs and used them as a border along the bottom of the mat on the inside.

OWH Sketch #70

I used Sunday's Sketch Challenge from OWH for today's card. This was a hard one for me. I had already picked out my stamps before I decided to use a sketch to make a couple of cards.

Here is Sketch # 70 from Operation Write Home.

I wanted to use Nature's Silhouettes but the background stamp with the trees didn't look right with the circle. I then pulled out Autumn Days and the pheasant was to large and to small for the circle. To large length wise and to small height wise. I then used the pine cone and branch stamp from the set as a background for the deer.

Here is the inside of the card. I just added a strip of the DP to the top of the card.
