Forgeries on Fourth - well the Third this month

The Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog Forgeries are a day early this month due to International Scrapbook day being on the fourth.
I pulled out the 6x6 Office Suite paper pad to make my forgeries this month.  I'll start with the Papertrey Ink Stamps Happy Camper and Heart 2 Heart along with the dies. Our Inspiration Kit from My Creative Scrapbook has some cute campers as embellishments and I had this stamp and die set that I picked up to make my own. I die cut several of them out of white cardstock and colored cardstock from the 6x6 paper pad then a set out of scraps of orange, yellow, green and kraft cardstock. I then stamped the images with color box ink. The little campers turned out so cute and will make great embellishments on my layouts. I also did a camping scene and am unsure if I will use it as a card or and embellishment.

I also included an Autumn Leaves flower stamp which is the large flower on the top then I added two stamp sets from Unity Stamp Co - Kit of the Month June 2013 "Love the Little Things" and July 2014 "Beautiful - Inside and Out". I stamped them on a piece of scrap paper then layered  the different colors of papers from the 6x6 pad and cut them out. I will probably go back and re - stamp the multi colored flower in the pink as it looks just to busy for me.

I did stamp the same images and used colored pencils to color in a few of them

I turned the other image into a quick card using Freshly Made Sketches 386.

Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to stop back on the Fourth for International Scrapbook Day.

Happy Father's Day Card

I used my June Counterfeit Kit - It's the Little Things to make a card using  Color Throwdown #496

The colors are perfect for the teals that were in my kit. I pulled out the Tinkering Ink Fred Astaire striped paper for the background which matches the lounge chairs.

I stamped the truck from the Unity Stamp KOTM and used a stitched die to cut it out. I added a little bit of twine around the Happy Fathers Day tag.

Word Art Wednesday and Mojo Monday Card

I used my August Counterfeit Kit Page set two to make a card, well it was some of the scraps from Mini Album I made a couple of days ago. I know I have one of each of the full sheets left and a lot of the punch outs but I want to use them on 12"x12" and 8 1/2" x 11" layouts for the guys.

Todays card used the Digital word art from Word Art Wednesday and the Mojo Monday Sketch 461.

I had a couple of strips of the orange paper from cutting my album page so I used that to make my circle.  Since I included the orange and yellow cardstock in the kit I used that for the matting the word art and pop up with foam tape. The blue strip is another piece from the album page.

I finished the inside of the card of by double matting white and yellow cardstock with another piece of the orange pattern paper.

Chick Card

I've had this little piece of chick ribbon in my scrap ribbon jar forever.  I would work on a card and pull it out then wind up not using it and put it back.  Well today is the day that I get to use it.  I pared it up with this chick stamp from Unity and a few pieces of left over paper.

I used the same technique on Wishing You Joy card to make the frame.

'Tis the Season

The challenge at 52{Christmas} Card Throwdown is a sketch so I thought I would join in. I pulled out the Unity's October Kit of the Month {Oh Christmas Tree} to use one the sentiments.  The pattern paper is from a K&I Memories Kit and I'm sad to say I have a lot of it left - but I thought I would try to use it up on the Christmas Challenges, so here goes the first challenge.

I started with  a partial sheet of the blue background paper and the already cut polka dot and striped paper.  I stamped the sentiment on a piece of white cardstock and punched it, then backed it with the same punch.  All of my edges are inked and I'm using a new ink pad so it's really juicy.

For the inside I added a white mat with a piece of  the background paper at the top.

to my Love

Hi All!  I've a couple of Valentine Cards here.  I decided to pull out my Designer Frame embossing folder for these.  They make such cute little frames.  I stated by cutting out the inside and cutting around the fame.  I then stamped the flowers and framed them.

I hand cut the banners then stacked them up.  The sentiment is stamped then punched with the modern label punch.

wishing you joy

Today is Friends with Flair and I didn't have a card made up so I pulled out a couple of stamps I have not used from my Unity kit.  I know it's from 2012 and I haven't used all the stamps in the set.  I just couldn't figure out what to use the mini mushrooms and flowers on.

I embossed the frame then cut around the inside and outside, stamped and colored my image.  I now have a pretty cute card.

Just Because

Hi everyone, today I'm continuing the Just Because theme at Card A Day Blog.  For todays card I used the sketch from Mojo Monday and the Technique from Splitcoast Stampers.

I started by stamping my image onto white card stock and trimming it down. I colored the image in then matted it onto black card stock.    I then layered this onto the background paper.  From the silver paper I used the Double Arches border and topped this with a piece of black seam binding.  I made the yellow ruffled ribbon by stringing on yellow pony beads. I have a lot of pony beads so I will have to do this technique more often.

Thanks for stopping by.

Friends

Hi everyone, thanks for stopping by.  Today I'm hosting at the Card A Day Blog with the theme of Friendship. I needed some inspiration so I'm using the Deconstructed Sketch No. 103 on this card.

For the card front I cut the blue wavy paper to 3 3/4" x 4 1/4" and the stripe paper to 1 1/8" x 4 1/4" and layered this onto a piece of gray card stock cut at  3 7/8" x 5 3/8". Out of the green pattern paper I made a banner slightly smaller than my oval 2 1/4" x 3 1/2" and attached it to my card front.  I then wrapped a pieced of embroidery floss around the layers.  The embroidery floss is J&P #71 and I'm not even sure it's made any more.  I stamped the ship and used my Fiskars oval cutter to cut it out at 2" x 2 1/2", I did trim a bit of the waters edged off on each side.  I added a gray button with a double bow at the top.  I stamped "Friends" and added a piece of embroidery floss with the tiny attacher.

For the inside I layered the striped paper and a piece of white card stock stamped with the anchor.  I did forget to ink the inside of my card. Oh well next time.

Tomorrow Chris Durnan is continuing the theme at the Card A Day Blog so don't forget to stop back.  Thanks for stopping by.

The Deconstructed Sketch Challege #91

I was on a roll using up some of the scrap papers when I came across this sketch from The Deconstructed Sketch Challenge.  I had a little bit of the flowered paper left and thought it would be great as a focal for this sketch.

I started with a pink card stock base then layered and matted everything with black card stock.

The piece of vellum is from a leftover project that I had not put away.  I added the happy anniversary sticker to the front of the vellum, then layered the banners behind and in front of the vellum.  I added an old button with a piece of floss tied to it.  A few black pearls on the bottom of the card finish off the front.

For the inside I used a small piece of the same floral paper on the side of the card.  On the left side I added a small swirl sticker.

Thanks for stopping by.

Belated Birthday

It's the last day of February and I realized I haven't entered anything into  The Craft's Meow February Sketch Challenge.

I found this stamped ship that was left over from another project so I decided to use it on this card.  All of the papers are from my scrap pile.  The "Oh Gosh I just remembered" sentiment is from Unity's Kit of the month.  I used the Sizzix Decorative Label set #4 to cut out the sentiment.  I added a brown Pearl to each side to finish off my card.

I finished the inside with a strip of the paisley pattern paper and a white mat.  I inked all of my edges in burgundy.

Thanks for stopping by.

Shopping Our Stash Challenge 83 is to create using all white or all ivory/cream/vanilla.  I've been wanting to use my Damask Decor Cricut Cartridge and thought this challenge would be perfect for the layers.

I used Damask  3 and the card feature to cut the front.  I layered underneath a piece embossed card stock and a sheer ribbon on top.  I stamped my sentiment then made a banner out of it and attached a bow.

For the inside I stamped the rose image on the inside.  It's light enough ink that the had written message will show up.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

I stamped the rose image on white card stock and cut out using the Nestabilities circle dies, then I embossed and inked the edges.  I stamped the heart ticket stamp twice, cut it out and inked the edges.  The xoxo border was stamped onto white card stock, clear embossed then I trimmed around the edges.

I layered everything onto the paper doily and finishing by adding a couple of buttons and a bow.

For the inside of my card I stamped the lace border onto white card stock, used clear embossing power and cut it out.  I inked around the edges of the mat and the lace.  Thanks so much for stopping by today and don't forget to enter the challenge at the Card A Day Blog.
