Love this

Can you believe that I'm working on pages 19 and 20 today with the May Counterfeit Kit - CKC May 2020 - Home. I started with another 2 page layout from Scrapbook Generations.

which can be found here. It's the June 2014 Free Sketch.

From my Counterfeit Kit,  I'm using the lemon paper from Jen Hadfiels - Simple Life and  the dark blue paper from Jen Hadfield Patio Party along with the blue honey comb paper.

I felt that the white photo mats were blending into the background so I inked the edges.

I omitted the banners under the tag on the left side and the cluster under the photo on the right side. Instead of using banners at the top I used the lightbulbs and the butterfly stickers. The light blue flowers on the lemon branches match my die cut blue butterfly so I added that to the top.

Then I pulled a few of the die cuts that I include with my kit along with a couple of the stickers from the Homemade sticker sheet. I also cut two of the tags from the Patio Party Cut A Part sheet. "Happy Day" is by the butterfly on the top of the page. and the "wreath love" is layered on the and tag.

Even though I'm finishing up may CKC May 2020 - Home kit the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog does have the June Kit up. Stop by and check it out. I just have a few more layouts before I kill this kit. Thanks for stopping by.

Party Like a Flamingo . .

From my Counterfeit Kit - May 2020 - Home I pulled out the  Patio Party Tags I included with my kit and I'm going to use the Party Like a Flamingo tag,

and  this set of papers from my kit.

I only have one sheet of the flower paper and two of the Ombre pink on the right and the geometric paper on the left. So I need to stretch the flower paper for my layouts. I only  have one of the flamingo tags so I'm going to do a two page layout.

I'm not sure how a Flamingo parties but I thought the tag from my Counterfeit Kit was perfect for the papers on this double page layout.

I started with this page and switched out the ombre pink paper for the white polka dot paper for my 4x6 photo mats. I added ribbon, DIY Label and enamel dot along with the pink paper clip to the top and flowers.

Page 2 has 3x4 photo mats along with the tag. I punched out the center and added embroidery yarn then grouped the tag label and flowers together. I inked all the edges of the photo mats.

 Thanks for stopping by.

Grow

I started my layout using this sketch from Page Maps, I found on Pinterest.

I wanted to document the plants that are coming up in my youngest son's yard. He had texted me a couple of photos - we knew he had rhubarb and peonies but did not know what one of the trees were until it bloomed. His backyard gets plenty of afternoon sun light and his peonies are much further along than mine.

Then I did a second page after we cleaned off his patio and set the table and umbrella.
I didn't want two completely white backgrounds together so I pulled out a couple of pattern papers
to layer behind. The first is the field paper - nice yellows and greens

and then the pineapple paper with off white and yellow and green.

Both of them came from the DCWV Photoreal paper pad from 2016.

For my oldest son I just did photo blocks and journaling strips on the bottom and just enlarged the sketch to fit a 12x12.. I don't have specific pictures for this layout.

For my layout I'm documenting the installation of the furnace and air conditioner. I'm so thankful Dale was home for this as they had to drill from the furnace room through the bathroom to the front of the house to vent them. The new vents are the curlicue's now at the front of the house.

Now I didn't include a bunch of embellishments in my CKC May 2020 - Home as I had several packs of stickers. I've barely made a dent in the stickers but I did used a few on theses layouts - fern leaves, lemons, geometric flowers. I pulled in DIY flower and Enamel Dots, Chip board frame, heart doily and embroidery yarn and ribbon

Thanks for stopping by.

Home

I pulled out a 3 of the 3x4 journaling cards from the Jen Hadfiels - Simple Life sheet. to make my layouts.

One of the iNDS challenges was to use the word "Home" 3 of the journal cards have the word home on them and I am trying to use product I normally pass up.

While a lot of scrappers were able to participate in iNSD I was moving the last of guy's things to their respective homes. We took the time to eat dinner and play a game at my eldest son's new home before heading back.

I kept the design simple, the journal card up on foam for some dimension and added the heart doily.

The banners are all from scraps that played off the daisies in the journaling cards and I add a heart enamel dot on the smaller photo.

Thanks for stopping by.

Counterfeit Kit Challenge Bog - Challenge #1 - Oh Happy Day.

It's time for Challenge #1 at the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog. Our Challenge is: Oh Happy Day  and Leslie says "Our Club Echo Park "Oh Happy Day" inspiration kit collection name provides our first challenge! Check through your phots for that great happy memory, or perhaps one of your kit elements reminds you of something happy? Use your creativity to lift spirits & and bring a smile."

When I was growing up on the ranch my Grandmother Jessie would tell the story of riding a mule down the Grand Canyon walls to the river below. She would talk about the different colors of the rock wall and how pretty it was.  Several years back my husband and I went to the Grand Canyon in January. We were not riding mules down the Grand Canyon, but it was amazing to see the Canyon.

In my kit I included several cut apart sheets as I am horrible about not using them and my challenge for myself was to try to get a few of the used up. I pulled out this one and am going to use

create moments not things on my layout. I pulled out the yellow wooden paper, the gray frame, leaves and a scrap of paper for the vertical band.
 - Grand Canyon Adventure

My journaling is on the back of the layout.

If you follow my blog you know that 1. I make page kits when I put my Counterfeit kit together and 2. I scrap for my guy's.  All of my paper for this page kit

Simple Stories - Wood and Gingham paper pad, I substituted K and Company - Basics Darks paper pad as I didn't have enough dark blue ; Jen Hadfield - Simple Life.

Here are their layouts using those paper.

 - It's All Good:
12x12 Layout:

I really like the Woodgrain paper with the lemons it just doesn't seem to make it so girly. I all of the  stickers are from the Good Vibes sticker sheet. The little gold pieces were inside the stars, instead of throwing them away I used them like enamel dots.

The  8 1/2 x 11 Layout:

I have to go back and add a dark blue border around the lemon paper, I evidentially forgot to do this when I was making the layout.

Be sure to stop by the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog as there is  more inspiration for challenge #1.

Thanks for stopping by.

May 2020 Counterfeit Kit Challenge Kit reveal and Blog Hop - Home

Happy May Day! It's the first and that means we have another inspiration kit reveal. Leslie is our host this month and she picked for out inspiration Club Echo Park March 2020 Kit and out Guest Designer this month is Ashley who can be found here on her blog.

Now for the Kit:

There is a whole of inspiration there. Here is an unboxing video.
Here is my Kit - Home
The 12x12 pattern papers are from a variety of paper pads, Craftsmart - Corner Office, Simple Stories - Woodgrain and Gingham, Recollections - Home Basics, Jen Hadfield - Patio Party, Chasing Adventures, Simple Life and Heart of Home.

The top paper from Craftsmart Corner Office is what I drew most of my colors from but I also tried to pull a few theme ones from the inspiration kit.

I'm including 4 cut a part sheets in my kit, which is another thing I have a hard time using.

I'm trying to add in the product I tend to skip over. I have two sheets from Corner Office and one each from Jen Hadfield's Simple Life and Heart of Home.

I have embellishments from all over for this kit.

I've included sticker sheets I would like to use up, die cuts from dies, cricut and the Silhouette, ribbon and twine, buttons, more bottle caps, a couple of 6x6 paper pad, cut a parts that are left over from other projects. I'm not sure what stamps I will use but I will be adding in more cardstock as the cut a parts will make some great cards

Here is the list, Julene is next, but you can go back to the beginning and start from there.
