You and I

Today's layout uses up some more of my March Counterfeit Kit.  I had pulled this paper specifically for the these photos.  I kept the photo's in the lower corner as I just couldn't cover up the dragon in the top left corner.

I used a few of the partly used pieces from my Counterfeit Kit.  The border was what was left from punching the border in the Sunset layout I did earlier. The black parenthesis is a cricut cut I had not used on another layout.

I added the veneer hearts and people to add just a little bit more dimension to the layout.

Thanks for stopping by.

Liberty State Park

The Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog inspiration this month is stars.  So I dug through the photo's I have printed off but do not have pages already planned.  I came across a couple my oldest had taken when he was in New York City in 2009 that I thought were perfect for this challenge.

I started with the blue paper and used the Cricut Artbooking cartridge cut out the star paper.  I then centered it onto the Kraft paper and outlined all the stars with a white gel pen.  I ran the red cardstock through the Star embossing folder a couple of times to emboss the whole piece.

I had some light grey stars already cut out and used a red marker to color them then traced around them with the white gel pen.  The veneer stars are inked in blue and white and scattered around the page.

I have a journaling tag tucked behind the photos with a blue and white star on it.

Thanks for stopping by.

Silly Faces - Together

I had just of few more pictures of the guy's making faces for me so I added a couple more pages - just trying to use up the paper scraps.

I cut the camera out of a darker blue scrap and added the silly faces to the side of the photo.

The "together " banner is from the Artbooking Cartridge - just cut in half to fit inside the photo sleeves. This cartridge is turning out to be priceless as I work on this Project Life albums.

Thanks for stopping by.

Fish Kisses

Here's my second set of pages from my "Back In Time" Project Life Album. The Challenge at Stuck on U Sketches is to use a card that has a heart Cut out.  I pulled out my Artbooking Cartridge as I knew it had a heart inside a circle that I thought would work.

I cut some of washi tape into banners, added the heart rhinestone and the heart cut out with another piece of washi tape banner.  Honestly I don't know how everyone photographs their project life pictures. The flocking in the bottom looks so much better in real life.

I used the banners as my title page and this is the last of the yellow rhinestone hearts.
The journaling reads: "I snapped a few pictures of the boys making "fish kisses" to send to Grandma."

Thanks for stopping by.

family and remember layouts

I finished mine and my youngest son layouts with the pictures of the Guys at Lake Minatare, Nebraska. Dad and Jerry were telling stories that Dale and Tim had probably heard before but now they actually got to see where the stories were at.

For my 12x12 layout I changed my colors to Pink instead of the red but didn't add any Arrows or washi tape.  In case you missed the first post of Remember click here.

On the 8 1/2x 11 layout I used Cricut Design Studio to make the layout. I didn't want to play around with the artbooking cartridige and cut a bunch of shapes until I get the right size (Cricut Craft room just won't work on my computer).

I did use up all of the Daisy D's faux stitching which is great as it was "pia" to use.

Thanks for stopping by.

Moments that make . . .

life and adventure.

I based this layout on the Close to My Heart idea book cover.   I really wanted to use the overlay  over the paper from my Counterfeit Challenge Kit paper.  Instead of using the Cricut for the title I used some more alphabet stickers.

For my 8 1/2" x 11" page I cut the overlay at 6 1/2" instead of the 8 1/2"  I also just used the overlay button instead of Shift + Overlay button on both layouts.

I had a hard time taking a picture of this as the alphabets are really shinny and just don't want to photograph nicely.  The bottom reads "an adventure"

I'm burning through my October Counterfeit Kit, but I'm not sure I will be able to get to the photos of both my of Grandma's and Mom before the end of October but I'm going to try.  Halloween is coming up and we haven't even carved pumpkins yet.  I know, I know my guys are older but it is something we do enjoy doing together.

Thanks for stopping by.
