I "heart" Summer

I pulled the first page set from my Counterfeit Kit Challenge - CKC July 2021 - Stitched Together kit for theses layouts.

I added in one more sheet of Best Creations Inc. - Basic Glitter in blue polka dots. I did not use the Craft Smith - Corner Office polka dot paper, the dark blue card stock or the embellishments I had in this page set. I scrapped a totally different set of phots so I will be coming back to this page kit a little later.

Today's layout is inspired by the Day 8 Summer Mother Load challenge that I signed up for.

I used the hearts that were on my sticker sheets I included in my kit this month. I changed out the glitter swirl paper for the blue polka dot paper

Instead of adding in another sheet of glitter paper I used the scraps on the 8 1/2 x 11 layout. I also used the stitched heart die to make the heart border as all the heart stickers were on the previous layouts. I just used some of the smaller scraps from the DCWV Citrus Twist stack.

I added in another sticker from my embellishments I included in my kit. Here is where I used the blue glitter swirl paper.

Thanks for stopping by.

I pulled the following page set from my July Counterfeit Kit - Stitched Together for my layouts today.

I'm using the  Day  4 prompt is a word prompt - Freedom for my layouts. I have these photos of Derek and they are perfect for the word prompt, since this guy's Daddy is on another deployment.

I only had one sheet of the Karen Foster Design - American Hero Collage so I had to strategically cut the paper. I added the helmet and dog tags to this layout for my oldest son.

For the 8 1/2x11 page I used one of the epoxy stickers and then brought in a Karen Foster Design - Armed Forces sticker sheet to get the helmet.

For my layout I used the dog tags sticker with the epoxy sticker. I also brought in some ribbon to border the pattern paper.

Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to check out the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog and Facebook group for more inspiration.

Flurries tonight

I signed up for Organized and Creative Mom's The Summer Mother Load 31 Layouts in 31 Days. I'm sorry to say the last day to register was June 30th. I needed a kick in the pants to get a couple of baby shower albums completed with low pressure on completing them.

Day 2's prompt was a picture prompt. It did not go well with my Baby theme so I pulled out some older photos.  I had a few of Dad and Mom's pictures of the ranch with the snow coming down the mountains. I have not date when the photos were taken.  I'm not sure why these were put in my box as we were sorting photos but they are the originals. I am using the clear photo corners to hold them in place (you never know when you need to take them out and make a copy for someone),

I'm using an old paper from the DCWV - The Photo Real Stack 3 which had the pine tree branches with snow on them for under the photos. I added in a piece of embossed cardstock - I don't know from who.

I had a few of the evergreen trees left over from my September 2019 Counterfeit Kit - CKC Fun Times I'm using as embellishments next to my title on the left side.

For the right side I was looking for a journaling card and found this one with the mountains and tree - perfect for this layout with the Crazy Mountains in the background, I cut it out and popped it up on foam tape.. I then decided to type my journaling and added another fluster of my forged trees.

Thanks for Stopping by.
