Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Today I have a treat box I made and a couple of Valentine Cards. I pulled a couple of sheet from my February Counterfeit Kit Challenge - So Exciting kit. The treat box is a cut file from My Scrap Chick. I cut the top of the box out of the white cardstock from Paper Studio and the bottom of the box is from DCWV's Old World Stack. Just love the embossed white paper.

The cards are using the One Canoe Two - Creekside 6x6 paper pad I included in my kit. I stamped the images then colored them in with colored pencils, die cut them and layered onto my cardstock.

Guy Card:
I stamped on the textured side of the cardstock by accident, then just went with it as I didn't feel like re - stamping on the smooth side.

I wasn't sure how the one on the pink cardstock would turn out but I really like it.

Thanks for stopping by

Double Heart Valentine

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me and the Card A Day Blog to celebrate Valentine's Day. I started with a couple of scraps from my Summer Dreams Stack to make the backgrounds on my card.

I then added a punched border between the two layers to dress it up a bit.  I used a Martha Stewart punch and punched three of the hearts out.  I hand cut the pennant and added a couple of pieces of ribbon to the top, then my hearts and bow.

To finish off the inside I added a strip of the pennant paper to the top of the card and a heart in the corner.  All of the edges are inked.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to share your cards with us.

Be Mine

Today I'm using another of Unity's December Kit of the Month Stamps and some more scraps from the DCWV - Summer Dreams Stack. Since the December kit was a lot of Valentine stamps I think it went really well with this paper pack. I have cutting instructions below. So this is a CASE card from Shilo at Paper meets glue, she is one of Unity's Designers. I just loved the way her card turned out and had to recreate one.

I stamped the image onto white cardstock and colored it in with a few markers. I used the Fiskars cutter and template to cut out the image.  I then hand cut another oval in gray just to make it pop a little.  I added a few different layers and a doily to finish off the background.  A button and ribbon finish off the front of the card.

 Thanks for stopping by.

to my Love

Hi All!  I've a couple of Valentine Cards here.  I decided to pull out my Designer Frame embossing folder for these.  They make such cute little frames.  I stated by cutting out the inside and cutting around the fame.  I then stamped the flowers and framed them.

I hand cut the banners then stacked them up.  The sentiment is stamped then punched with the modern label punch.

Hugs and Kisses

Hi everyone and Happy Friday!  Thanks for joining me from the Card A Day Blog, I'm continuing with the Valentine's Theme.

I started with a tan base cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2, scored on the 8 1/2" side at 4 1/4".  The gold paper was cut to 4" x 5 1/4", then embossed with the textile folder and the edges are inked.

I stamped the rose image on white card stock and cut out using the Nestabilities circle dies, then I embossed and inked the edges.  I stamped the heart ticket stamp twice, cut it out and inked the edges.  The xoxo border was stamped onto white card stock, clear embossed then I trimmed around the edges.

I layered everything onto the paper doily and finishing by adding a couple of buttons and a bow.

For the inside of my card I stamped the lace border onto white card stock, used clear embossing power and cut it out.  I inked around the edges of the mat and the lace.  Thanks so much for stopping by today and don't forget to enter the challenge at the Card A Day Blog.

I'm entering this card in the Unity Friends with Flair Challenge and the January Sketch Challenge at The Crafts Meow.

Love, Hugs and Kisses

Hi everyone, today is my day to host at the Card A Day Blog and we are continuing the Valentine's Theme.  Today I'm using a stamp set by Inkadinkadoo that has a bunch of mini stamps in them.

For today's card you will need four different colors of red ink and stamp two different images in each of the colors.  I punched my squares out using a 1 /14" punch, then inked around all the edges with Vintage photo. The kraft cardstock is cut at 4" x 5 1/2", dry embossed, and the edges are also inked.  The red band is cut at 1 1/2" x 4".  I made the bakers twine using two colors of embroidery floss and twisting them together.  I then double wrapped it around my kraft card front and taped it to the back.  Before I attached the button I added the three tags - hug, love, kisses; then added the button to the card.

I just can't have a blank inside so I had to spruce it up.  I added another piece of kraft cardstock, then white cardstock with the red band at the bottom and another of the stamped images.

Don't forget to enter the Card A Day Blog Challenge this month, you have until January 31st to enter your cards.
