Christmas Tags

I have a couple of tags I made that will going on my Guys' packages. 

 

For the Tree Tag I hand cut the tag shape to 5 1/4" x 2 1/2" out of Kraft card stock.  I stamped the large snowflake from Snow Swirled and smallest snowflake from Delightful Decoration onto the background of the tag, then used a marker for the faux stitching.  I stamped the tree onto white card stock in Soft Suede ink then hand cut the tree out.  Out of Kraft card stock I cut another tree and used a marker for the faux stitching lines.  From red card stock I punched the round tab then stamped the large snowflake again.  I punched the small snowflake from red using the 3/4" circle punch.  I added the snowflake eyelet to the top of the tag with the red yarn. I stamped Merry Christmas then punched it out. A little bit of green zig zag ribbon and a few pearls to finish off the tag.  There are actually a few pearls in the tree - they are hard to see in the picture.

 

For the Dasher tag I cut two shapes out of Kraft and one red card stock.  I stamped Dasher in the center of one of the Kraft shapes and used the same snowflake stamps for the background on the other Kraft and red shape.  I stamped my sentiment and punched it out then layered it onto a punched piece of white card stock.   This is glued to the star shape and a gold brad holds it to the shapes. The holly leaves and berry were cut and inked then layered onto the tags.

C - Christmas Presents

Scrapbook Heaven is having a month long Creative CHRISTMAS Crop . The first project was posted December 1st and is "C" for Candy, Color, Cardstock and Cards. Well I did Color and Cardstock of the "C's". Mine is a layout so I missed out on the Cards and I added presents instead of Candy.


I used pop up dots behind the sleigh and the presents. The ribbon for the presents was cut on white card stock and then I used Fruit Punch stickles on them. The sleigh was downloaded from Scrapbook Heaven printed out, then I covered it in red line tape, cut out and added glitter to it. The snowflake is on a clear button so that you can see through it.

Snowman Shaker Card - Day 3

How about a shaker card and an ornament in one. The ornament on this card can actually be strung up in a window or on your tree or how about as a tag on your packaging.
For the inside of the card I welded the ornament accents together.

Shaped Tag

Using the Christmas Cheer cartridge I cut the stocking on page 94 in red, shadow in maroon and the accents pieces in white glitter paper. I embossed the red stocking with the D'Vine Swirls Cuttlebug folder. I scored the maroon about a 1/4 inch from the right side of the stocking. I used the white stocking top to trace the corners on the red and maroon stocking and cut of the handing tag, as I will replace mine with a piece of lace. I inked the white accents with antique distress ink.

From Accent Essential I cut the flower on page 57 using the Shadow Shift function. I cut two out of dark red, I only used one inked the edges in red. I cut from white the label on page 79 using the Shadow Shift feature and inked the edges in red.

From Joys of the Seasons I cut the Holly on page 69 at two different sizes out of green card stock. Each piece is inked. I used a whole holly cut on the top of the stocking and cut the second one apart and placed the pieces behind the flower. I cut off the left leaf and the bottom of the stem from the large holly cut and used it at the bottom of the label.

Reindeer

I have a bunch of large envelopes 7 1/4 " x 5 1/8" to use , so this is a large card front which and gave me plenty of room to play. The white card base is 7 1/8" x 5". Onto this is I layered black and then green card stock.

Then a piece of black card stock with a tan background paper on top. There were scraps from my scrap file. The tan background paper kind of looks like the hooves on the reindeer.

I used the George cartridge to cut the circles of 1 1/2", 1 5/8", and 1 3/4" in tan white and black card stock. I then stamped the holly leaves and berries in green on the tan card stock and used Xmas Red Stickles for the holly berries. After everything was dry I outlined the holly leaves with a black gel pen.

I used the Christmas Cheer cartridge to cut out two of the reindeer one on tan and one on brown card stock. The hooves are cut from black and the antlers are from a second color of brown card stock. The tan reindeer has distressed edges around it including the antlers. The Reindeer is then layered onto a tan background inked with brown ink, white card stock and then black card stock.
