Season's Greetings

Here's a quick card using one of my favorite stamp sets. I got up early to do a little bit of crafting before the guys got up.

I had nine card done along with envelopes within an hour.

I stamped the sentiment on the inside leaving plenty of space for writing a note.

I made a couple of sets of card using two different embossing folders.  (The picture is of the Textile embossing folder.)

Christmas Tags

I have a couple of tags I made that will going on my Guys' packages.

For the Tree Tag I hand cut the tag shape to 5 1/4" x 2 1/2" out of Kraft card stock.  I stamped the large snowflake from Snow Swirled and smallest snowflake from Delightful Decoration onto the background of the tag, then used a marker for the faux stitching.  I stamped the tree onto white card stock in Soft Suede ink then hand cut the tree out.  Out of Kraft card stock I cut another tree and used a marker for the faux stitching lines.  From red card stock I punched the round tab then stamped the large snowflake again.  I punched the small snowflake from red using the 3/4" circle punch.  I added the snowflake eyelet to the top of the tag with the red yarn. I stamped Merry Christmas then punched it out. A little bit of green zig zag ribbon and a few pearls to finish off the tag.  There are actually a few pearls in the tree - they are hard to see in the picture.

For the Dasher tag I cut two shapes out of Kraft and one red card stock.  I stamped Dasher in the center of one of the Kraft shapes and used the same snowflake stamps for the background on the other Kraft and red shape.  I stamped my sentiment and punched it out then layered it onto a punched piece of white card stock.   This is glued to the star shape and a gold brad holds it to the shapes. The holly leaves and berry were cut and inked then layered onto the tags.

Northern Flurry - Card A Day

Hi everyone, today I'm the designer for Card A Day Blog and the theme this week is snow.  It's very appropriate as we finally had snow over the weekend. It snowed all day Sunday so I guess we can finally say that winter is here.

For today's card I used the Northern Flurry embossing folder and the Snow Swirled stamp set.

The card base is 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4" out of olive green card stock.  The cherry cobbler layer is cut to 5 1/4" x 4".  I embossed the white card stock then cut it down to 5"x 3 3/4".  I sponged the snowflakes with Soft Suede to give them a little bit of color.  I stamped the largest snowflake from the Snow Swirled set and punched it out at 1 3/4" and punched another circle out of the old olive card stock at 2".  I tucked a piece of ribbon behind the snowflake and the top of the red card base.  I stamped my sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink after I had my snowflake placed on my card front.

I stamped the largest snowflake a couple of times on the inside of the card and the other sentiment in the middle.

Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to check back tomorrow to see what Terri Wright has to inspire you.

Winter Woodland Skating Layout

The Bitten By the Bug 2 has a challenge going on that uses the Winter Woodland Cricut Cartridge.  Since I have that cartridge I thought I would do an 8x8 layout.  I have lots of fond memories of skating.  We didn't have rink, on the farm we used the overflow from the stock tanks or the stock tanks themselves.

I stamped with clear embossing ink the polka dots and used clear embossing powder. I stamped the two smaller snowflakes from the Snow Swirled set on the pink cardstock then inked the edges of white cardstock.  The skates are cut out at 2" and layered.  I hand cut the bows off of them because I wanted to add my own.  I used some embroidery floss that is not separated for the laces and used glossy accents to glue them to the skate.

I used the lined stamp from Notes and Details to make a journal spot and stamped with the small snowflake on the side.  Each page is similar in design I just changed the sizes a little bit.

Thanks for stopping by.

Gingerbread Man Treat Jar - Day 1

The Card A Day Blog's theme this week is Christmas Food.   The first thing I thought of was Gingerbread Cookies and my card inspiration this week is on Saturday so I thought I would have a week of Gingerbread Man ideas.  For today I have a Gingerbread Man Treat Jar.

The red cardstock is 2 1/4" with the punched border and the pattern paper is 1 5/8".  Over that I wrapped a sheer 7/8' ribbon.  I stamped my sentiment in red and then layered them onto another punched cardstock.

I used the From my Kitchen cartridge to cut the gingerbread man out of felt and sewed on a couple of button's with light weight yarn and a couple of beads for his eyes.

Thanks for stopping by.

Snowflake Merry Christmas - Day 22

30 Days of Christmas Card Day 22 is another from the Scrapbook Heaven November Card Crop from Jules Card Tutorial #3.

Well I didn't follow the sketch to the letter, but I followed most of it. If you remember my post for card #20 - I said I would be using my scraps well this card is all about scraps. The snowflakes were stamped from another project and I didn't use them. Don't they look wonderful on this card.
I stamped my sentiment directly onto the pattern paper instead of using a rub on (remember I'm using my scraps and what I have).

Thanks for stopping by.
