I've scrapped this photo before but it was done digitally, so I thought it was about time that I did it in paper for an album. So I pulled out a couple of more pieces of paper from my May Counterfeit kit. When I pulled this paper I was intending on using it with different pictures but I think this is better and I did his and mine layouts the same. I didn't even add a doily to mine!
I had a hard time with a title for this photo - it Miss Izzy's "Favorite Place", we say that she has the "Paw of sleep" but I finally settled on "you 2" as my oldest son is her favorite when he was home she would be with him all the time. I snapped the picture when he got home and was on the couch watching some TV.

Nature
I had a few scraps from my May Counterfeit Kit out and wanted to see if I get them used up on another layout.
I have a little bit left of the Creamsicle Clouds paper left the I can is gone.
My journaling is tucked behind and reads:
I had the late shift at work today so I stopped by to take a picture of the old maple tree. Most of the snow is gone but it is still a dreary day with the clouds and mist.
Thanks for stopping by.

MN Wild
I've pulled this Hockey collage paper a couple of time for my Counterfeit Kits but just didn't like the way the page was going. Once again I included into my Counterfeit Kit and finally finished the page.
I've added the tickets and the parking pass to the layout. The snowflake was cut with the Silhouette and I add a couple of pearls to the center. Instead of putting this one into an album I used the shadow photo box for them.

New Lawn
I'm using the diamond pattern paper from my May Counterfeit Kit challenge on these layouts. I've added a piece of embossed glittered paper from another project then sprinkled the rhinestones and sequins around my layout.
For the guy's layouts I've just added the rhinestones and omitted the sequins and the glitter paper.
I didn't have three sheets of the same green background paper so I am using ones that will go with the diamond paper. Each is just a little bit different.
We shovel a space for Izzy during the winter, except if it gets to cold she will use the garage. She is so funny when there is even a little bit of a thaw, she starts searching the new lawn, even though the ground is still frozen and the grass isn't growing.

Winter Frost - Part 2
I had two pictures of the frosted trees that I didn't use on the Winter Frost layout but wanted to scrap, so I'm turning it into a two page layout. The green paper was close to the same other one - it matches in color but not in texture.

In My Garden
It finally feels like spring here, actually it is more like summer. We have gone from temperatures in the 50's as a high and then below freezing at night one day then the next it's in the high 70's and 50 at night. Last night when Izzy and I were walking around the yard I noticed I finally had a tulip bloom - my one and only tulip that came up this year. I'm not sure if the cold or bunnies got the rest or it was just that strange of a year.
I pulled out some more left over papers to use on this page along with the die cut paper that was in my May Counterfeit kit. I'm still trying to use up that sheet of rub ons. I think it was a free sheet that came with another purchase. That is where the "Garden" is from. I added a couple of left over alphas to fill in the title.

Under the Skies
Here's another layout for my oldest's scrapbook. I'm using more of my May Counterfeit Kit for this layout. I had pulled out the Crate Paper "Tight" paper (blue paper) intending to use the other side which is a tone on tone gold but found that I liked this side better.
I think I'm becoming addicted to the home made enamel dots. I do find them easy to put onto the layouts and they are not girly looking so I'm constantly reaching for them.
I've cut apart the journaling tag, placed it on either side of the photo so that he can go back and add his journaling.

Wiped Out
Here's two more layouts made from the May Counterfeit Kit.
I didn't have enough of the woodgrain paper for a backing piece so I used a piece from the Timeless Texture Stack for my layout. I used up most of the leftovers from the prior layout on this one. I did not have another chipboard bird but really liked this one so I used the backing as a pattern to make my own out of blue paper. I have it up on some foam tape to give it some dimension.
My journaling is the flags along the top of the layouts and reads: We both got home early and you sat down to talk. I asked how your day was, when there was no answer I looked over and you were out.

Cherrioe Fix #2
I did the Cherrio Fix layout for my youngest then decided I need one for me. I incorporated the left overs from his layout onto mine and then added some pink in. The flowers in the corners are from a pink heart doily that was used on another project, the rest of the pinks are left overs from other projects.

Moments 2014
I needed to make a quick mini album for Ben as he is moving, and I added a special guy set of papers to my May Counterfeit Kit just for this purpose. So I made the album following the tutorial that papercrafter45 has for her skinny mini. I then started adding my pattern papers. (Remember you can click on the picture to see some close ups)
The front of the album has the zipper, paper clip, veneer camera, rhinestone, home made enamel dots and the number stickers which I used glossy accents on.
The inside first page I made a couple of pages to fit into the pocket. I just love that mustache paper.
I just used scraps from the album to make the pages for the pockets.
I cut the tie paper to fit on the inside flaps then added a couple of the tags in them.
This is what you get when you lift up the flap. I added a couple paperclips to each side of the flaps.
The back pocket has more page inserts, just different sizes than the ones I put in the front. I started with the black cardstock and found pieces of the pattern papers to fit them.
And to finish it off here is the back of the album. I had most of the album together in a evening.

Cherrio Fix
I haven't been able to do much scrapbooking or card making lately but I got home early last night so I thought I give it a try. It's really hard for me to get back into it when you've not been doing it for awhile. I just stared at my pictures trying to decide which ones to scrap and what papers from my Counterfeit Kit to use. I finally just picked a set of pictures and a set of papers and this is what I came up with.
The Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog is having a Wonderful World of Color Challenge along with their normal challenges this month. After I had this one all put together I realized that it works for the Wonderful World of color - Challenge #2 - Color Recipe Challenge of Black and/or White (or mix them together to make Grey) along with shades of one other color.
I cut may cardstock down to 8 1/2 x 11 and the grey pattern paper to 8 1/4 x 10 3/4. The photos are matted onto a black and grey pattern paper which is same paper as the top and bottom strips.
I've added some more of the home made enamel dots along with some banners and yellow embroidery yarn. I put the journaling tag at the top of the page with the banners pointing up.
The journaling reads: Izzy waits for you at the top of the stairs. When you open the pantry door she is off and ready to get her "Cherrio Fix" with you.
Thanks for stopping by.

Butterfly Thank You
Here is the second Thank You card for our Secretaries. I started by stamping the butterflies onto white cardstock, embossing them and coloring them in.
I had planned on using the background paper from Pink Paislee on this thank you card but didn't like the color combinations so I pulled out the Timeless Texture stack and matched my butterflies up to the background paper.
So by the time I'm done with the card I realize that the only thing I used from my May Counterfeit Kit is the stamp set.
Thanks for stopping by.

The Team
My layout today is of a picture of DH's Team back in 2009. I'm planning on putting it in a scrapbook frame, the size that is deep as I've used some chunky embellishments.
I started by cutting a 1/2" off of the Basic grey cardstock. The photo is matted onto brown cardstock and then layered onto a couple of different pieces of scrap paper. I've punched the edges of a few of them.
Then I tucked a few banners, chipboard pieces, and rhinestones around the page. After I had it attached to the background paper I decided to distress the edges as it just need something. I then tucked a couple of the gems into the torn spots.

Thank You
This is the first card for our Secretaries for our End of the Season Dinner.
I stamped and embossed the flower image then colored it in with the markers. I pulled the butterflies from my pre punch embellishments. To bring in a little more of the green in I stamped my sentiment in green. A few pearls finish the off the front of the card.
For the pattern mat I cut the journaling mat first then added the scraps of pattern paper to the back of the mat.

Thinking of You
This week over at the Card A Day Blog we are making Thinking of You card. I have several scraps of pattern paper in my May Counterfeit Kit and decided to use the frames from American Crafts Metropolitan paper pack. I've paired it with a piece of dark pink DCWV cardstock that is embossed with the Honeycomb embossing folder.
I then added a piece of ribbon and lace over the seam. The flowers are colored and die cut with the Ornate Label #3, matted onto tan card stock and layered onto the card with pop up dots.
I've added a couple of silk flowers that are from a hydrangea and a little bit of string pearls behind the image.
Thanks for stopping by.
