Congrats

Hi every one, today I'm the designer at A Card A Day blog, thanks for joining me and we are making Congratulation Cards this week.

I started by misting my doily then drying it with the heat gun. I wrapped this around my card front to the back of the card front. I then added a small sheer ribbon to the side of the card. I stamped one of the doilies from the Delicate Doily stamp set, embossed it with Wild Wasabi and cut it out.  I layered on top of this a couple of flowers and a button tied with embroidery floss.

On the inside I cut a strip of the same Desigher paper and used my Cricut to cut two Congrats out of red and black card stock.

Thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget to come back to see what our designer's have to inspire you and enter the challenges.

You're never more than a thought away

I'm taking the Stretch Your Stamps class from Online Card Classes.  Yesterday's lesson was using background stamps and there were 5 different cards made using the same background stamp.  I'm unable to make the first card - I needed to use Cut N Dry Felt to make my own ink pad - so it will  have to wait until later. The second card was to stamp the background stamp and using a die to cut up the stamped image then piece it together.  I'm close with my card as I cut 1" squares and pieced the two colors of card stock back together.

I first cut my cardstock down to size of my block, then inked and stamped my image onto both colors of cardstock.

I cut my image down to 4" x 4 1/4" on this card.

I cut my image down to3 3/4" x 4" on this card.

Here's both cards together.

Thanks for stopping by.

Thanks So Much - Creating Pretty Cards 7

I needed a thank you card and decided to use the sketch from Craft Project Central and based it on my {Love} Card.

I added a few extra pearls to the ribbon on the left hand side and one on each side of the bow.

I also added the little flower stamp in the inside of the card from the Tiny Tags stamp set.

Once again I stamped then embossed the envelope.  It's a little thing but it really adds a lot when you send the card.

Thanks for stopping by.

{Love} - Creating Pretty Cards 7

I created this card for this month's challenge at Craft Project Central.  The challenge runs all month long and you can enter as may times as you wish, but you must use Stampin' Up supplies only.  In the past I have started out with great intentions and somewhere along the line I've used something that wasn't Stampin' Up so I haven't entered.  Today however I got it right!!!

I stamped the medium sized doily onto whisper white card stock and punched it out with the 1 3/4" Circle punch.  The card base is Basic Gray and the pattern papers are from the Welcome Neighbor paper pack.

For the inside I cut the Whisper White at 5 1/4" x 4 " and a border using the Welcome Neighbor DSP.

I stamped with the other three stamps from the Delicate Doilies set on the  envelope and then embossed using Melon Mambo Embossing powder.  I believe that it's a nice touch to finish off your card.

Thanks for stopping by.
