Such a Lovely Day

I had some left overs from a few DCWV paper stacks and combined them into this layout and project life page.

 

I hand cut out several of the banners and hearts for this layout. There was a lot of fussy cutting on this page for the elements. I finally just cut all of them out and put then in a IRIS container so they are ready for other layouts.

 

 

I added the "Such a Lovely Day" to the bottom of white cardstock , a white photo mat to another and a heart border to a third and another banner to a fourth. The rest are papers scraps from the

Crisp Autum Air and Harvest Time

Another set from an older Counterfeit Kit this time from November's

I used page set #3 for a set of double page layouts for my guys.  I normally use cardstock for my photo mats but decided to use the grid paper instead.  I'm really trying to get a couple of paper pads used up or out of my stash.

I kept the photo mats the same on the left and right side for the 8 1/2 x11 pages.

The 12x12 pages I added a little bit more of the light orange paper then added photo mats. I strategically cut the pattern paper so that the Crist Autumn Air and Harvest time would still be readable and used a title for the pages.

Love layouts

I'm not sure where the summer has gone. The guys are all moved out, we're back from our trip to Texas, most of the garden renovation is done (just a little bit of movement of plants left to do) and a little bit of cleaning is left in the house and garage.  I have a few page kits left over from previous month and I would like to get them use up or put back into my stash. Hence I' didn't put together a July Kit. I actually had a moment to make a set of pages from an older kit.

 I've watched all of Nicole Jones' video's on Demystifying Clusters.  I love the way she puts page kits together and that she has no problem putting the scraps aside and working on another layout.  I on the other hand have issues - have to use them or they tend to drive me nuts. I know I have a couple of sheet protectors that have scraps in them, but I'm trying to not do that any more. Just more clutter and sometimes I use them sometimes I don't.

This set of pages is from my February Counterfeit Kit - Hello Lovely.

I did a couple of double page layouts for the guys.

 

I changed the photo mat size but kept the amount of photo mats the same. A few hand cut banners from the scraps along with some embroidery floss.



The mists are hard to see, but you can definitely see the large drop on the above picture.

June Counterfeit Kit Challege - Hello Sunshine

The Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog's inspiration this month is the Felicity Jane May 2017 Kit "Willow".

Here is my Kit - Hello Sunshine: I kept the blues and teal colors, left out the corals and pinks then added in some greens and greys.

I didn't take the time to match up cardstock so I'll be pulling that as I go. I also will add some embossing powder and stamps to the kit. I just couldn't decided which ones to add. I liked the little triangle stencil in the Felicity Jane Kit I wasn't sure what I wanted in my kit so I'll add that later.

Counterfeit Kit Challenge - May Kit Snowpants to Shorts

Here is my May Kit - Snowpants to Shorts.

I pulled in a couple of the DCWV - Texture and Finishes stack to match up to the blue Oh My Heart 22 from Pink Paislee and the American Crafts - Jen Hatfield Best Of paper  for the polka dots. I replaced the stripe paper in my kit with a chevron and diagonal strip tone on tone paper from the Craft Smith - Sweet Mint collection.

 I've included a Paper pack from American Crafts - Imaginisce "Perfect Vacation" which has more stripes and the colorful raindrops to match the Little by Little Pint-Sized Fun from Shimelle.

I've added a few 6x6 pad to round out my kit and bring in the Large alphabet paper and some yellows - I pulled Smilelle's True Stories paper pad. I also added the 7 gypsies - Epicurean because I need to make a few guy cards. It's a large paper pad 48 sheets so I can also do some layouts with it.

My embellishments include a few washi tapes, wood veener - weather shapes and hearts, speech bubbles stickers DIY, enamel dots and some frames. I have the normal ribbon flowers and buttons and added some sequins and embossing powders.

Last month I had downloaded a Spring Collection by Daria V when it was free from Creative Market that I thought I would print and cut out as needed on my pages. Below is a few of the animals and flowers that were included.

For my Project Life Kit I will be using a 6x6 paper pad from Fancy Pants "Office Suite" and the My Minds Eye "On Trend 2" journal cards. I also have several of the label punched and ready to go (links are on below)
