I always make or buy a Christmas ornament for my guys each year for their Christmas trees. I pulled out my January Counterfeit Kit - Snowman Kisses for these layouts.
I wasn't planning on using the Merry Christmas paper that was in the Paper Studio pack, but it worked for my annual Christmas Tree Ornament page. I only have two of these 12x12 papers but I had the sticker sheet that had the same Santa Clause on the sticker sheet. I figured I could make the 8 1/2 x 11 using that, green cardstock and the red and white strip paper for my youngest son's layout.
I love the way this turned out. I trimmed the red and white stripe paper then made my border on the green cardstock added the stickers and it is similar to the 12x12 paper.
Now for my oldest son's layout. I again used scraps of Christmas paper that was included in my Counterfeit Kit to make the banners. They are scraps so they do not go all the way behind the photo's.
For the second layout, the 12x12 sheet I'm using for my grandson. He was born the 22nd of December and I wasn't planning on buying an ornament for him for 2019, but he came to us early. I found this adorable mailbox for him.
I normally make a similar page for my scrapbook of their ornaments. I have not at this time so there will be one more to come. I have some of the red and white stripe paper left on of course scraps and alpha stickers but no more Santa stickers. It will be similar but not necessarily the same as these pages.
Thanks for stopping by.

Counterfeit Kit Challenge #2 - Moving Day
I'm up today with Counterfeit Kit Challenge #2 - Use a sketch. Lisa picked this Page Maps Sketch
for us to use. From my January Counterfeit Kit - Snowman Kisses, I pulled out the sheet protector of scraps of Christmas Paper. The hardest part was trying to decide what pictures to use, after that I pulled the papers to kind of match the photos; red snowflake paper as it was snowing when we loaded the trailer and the truck is red, blue and white snowflakes as it was almost a blizzard as we were driving, the holly paper represents the trees - even though they were all iced over and the house paper as we pulled up to their new home.
I did wrap red twine around the three pattern papers as the sketch had but I had to add a bow as I couldn't get the twine tight, so I added cut it and added score tape under the button to hold the twine. I had the silver snowflake in my Christmas elements added the blue pom pom the center and an already stamped snowflake in bottom corner.
To check out what lovely creations Leslie, Laura and Shannon made for the challenge head on over to the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog.

Ho Ho Ho and Merry and Bright
Using my January Counterfeit Kit - CKC Snowman Kisses I finished the set of pages for my oldest. I have 2 12x12 layouts.
Ho Ho Ho Layout:
I started with the Bella Blvd "Gifts Galore" paper cutting it down then layering a on top. this paper has the cutest Christmas icons on it. This is on top of a DCWV - The Holiday Stack green polka dot paper and red cardstock.
The Ho Ho Ho was actually a tag, so used foam tape behind it and used the red yarn to wrap it a round the bottom layers. I added a "love" sticker on the journaling mat and sprinkled sequins around the page. . The red and white strip is another sticker that I just cut to fit behind the papers
Merry and Bright:
I started with the Holly and Berries paper layering it onto the same green polka dot paper from DCWV - The Holiday Stack. The red Christmas Gifts paper is the back side of the Bella BLVD "Gifts Galore" paper. I brought in the red and white strip paper for my photo mats. The "Merry and Bright" project life card is one I had printed off and was in my stack of cards. I added a snowman from the sticker pack. then sprinkled the snowflakes and sequins around the page.

You
I'm using the Scrap Our Stash Challenge - What's My Challenge - "Bingo" for today's layout.
I started by trimming down the "Trees for Sale" paper then adding the background paper to it. I created a base from white card stock for my photos rest on as my paper is quite busy with all the trees and added the washi border to the top and bottom of it. The rest is just layering the pieces of pattern paper onto the white mat, even the green border behind white cardstock was from my Christmas paper scraps.
I pulled the red label, the photo corner and the hot chocolate circle from the sticker sheet I included in my kit. I fussy cut the smaller banners at the top of the layout.
I punch the red and white snowflake and pulled the gold snowflake sticker from my Christmas stash. It went perfectly with the gold sequins I included in my kit.
I used a punch for the banners at the bottom of the page layered with the snowflake and hot coco sticker.
For my layout I used the piece of the "Trees for Sale" paper to start my layout. I matted it onto white cardstock and layered the pieces from there. The gold snowflake is cut in half, the red one is tucked to the side and towards the bottom. I used a white one at the top with the banners, a red sticker and a sequin in the center. I sprinkled the gold sequins through the layout.

I hand cut out several of the banners and hearts for this layout. There was a lot of fussy cutting on this page for the elements. I finally just cut all of them out and put then in a IRIS container so they are ready for other layouts.
I added the "Such a Lovely Day" to the bottom of white cardstock , a white photo mat to another and a heart border to a third and another banner to a fourth. The rest are papers scraps from the

Remember This
Here's another layout using some of the scraps from my Fresh Start January Counterfeit Kit.
It really is straight but I could not get a pictured of it being straight. My oldest had given me the Tim Holts Feather Duo die and embossing folder for Christmas. I love the way it turned out on this page.
I needed to fill the backside of the pocket page from Live Each Moment so I matched it up with this Remember This layout.
I stamped and hand cut a few feathers on a couple of different papers. I then added a couple of the die cut feathers to the 4x6 journal cards.
The two pages together. The stamped feathers go so nicely with the die cuts. Both of these pages are made from scraps from the Fresh Start Kit except for the kraft cardstock.

It's Mine
My oldest had me work on a couple Army Sleeping Bags for him. After I was finished, Miss Izzy did her usual "you made that for me" and climbed into them. It doesn't seem to matter what I make she thinks it is for her.
From the Counterfeit Kit I chose the large pink and white paper then added the Doily to help tone it down a little and give me a base for a starting point. Sometimes the large pattern papers can be a bit overwhelming when trying to use them. I cut a 1/4" off each side and used a piece of Kraft cardstock for the back.

Ink: Inkadinkadoo - Burgundy

I did pull out a sheet of army camouflage paper to make my Polaroid frames with the Silhouette. I just had to use that to go with the sleeping bag. The rest of the papers are from my scrap pile. The butterflies are again pre cut and I just hand cut the flags at the bottom of the page
I did ink the edges of the papers. I also used a snowflake cut from the Cricut that was left over from another project. A few pearls, embroidery floss and the "love" rhinestones to finish it off.
My journaling reads: After finishing the sleeping bags, Izzy once again claimed them for herself. She really didn't even want to look at me at I was trying to take a picture of her after she climbed in. I have it on a tag tucked behind.

Cool Owls
I like the previous sketch so much I'm using it again (Anna's Craft Cupboard for July). It was just what I needed to complete another layout.
I changed it up a little by flipping the sketch and adding the Owl.
It's a great sketch to use up some more scraps. I just backed everything with black cardstock.

XOXO List
I'm using a sketch from Anna's Craft Cupboard for July. It's a perfect one to use up some more of my scrap pile.
I changed it around a little bit - instead of an element I'm using the XOXO list journaling spot. I do not have it glued down all the way so that a photo can go behind it.
I backed all of the pattern papers with black cardstock. The pattern pieces are cut in half then tucked behind the photo mat to make it look like I used a larger piece of paper. I used a ruler to help keep the edges straight.

Follow your own star.
I've been using the same 8 1/2" x 11" card stock for all of my Scrap Pile Layouts. I have a bunch of this from Mom's stash and do not know the name of it. It was just in a pile with some other card stock and the wrapper was no longer attached. This has made all of these layouts look like they should all go together even though I'm using a bunch of different patterns, styles, and colors from different designers.
I started this set of layouts by cutting the rectangles down to 2 1/2" x 2" in sets of two and the center rectangle is cut a 8" x 3 1/2", I did ink all of the edges. For the left side I layered a couple of left over strips that were on my desk. The punched border wasn't long enough to go the whole 8 inches so I just used it as it was.
I stamped the sentiment onto white card stock and hand cut a banner out, glued it to the toothpick, and added foam tape behind it so it looks like it is waving in the wind.
I stamped the stars and colored them in with a Bic Mark It, cut around the image, layered it onto black card stock and added the punched border. I have foam tape behind it so that a picture can be tucked behind the image.

Hugs and Kisses
For my next Scrap Pile Layouts I used two pieces of the same pattern paper which was cut in different directions. The pattern paper for my boy layout is 3 3/4" wide while the one for my girl layout is 4 1/2" wide. I used each piece as it was cut and added the blue borders, the due cut, and my stamped and hand cut tickets.
For the boy page I used orange lattice die cuts , cut them in half and attached them to behind the blue borders. I did not have enough of the dark purple die cuts so I added one lighter purple in the center.
I just love these ticket stamps that were in my Unity KOTM and thought they went well with this pattern paper.

Always fun when I'm with you
Here is my weekly Scrap Pile Layouts. I did another set of 8 1/2"x 11" boy and girl layouts. I started with the background paper and pulled my inspiration from there. The pattern paper is from DCWV - The Stack 6 and they were this size in my scrap pile.
I already have the birds made up in different colors in a little jar so I just need to pull out one that goes with what I'm making. The same holds truce for the die cut label and tag. I keep them in a little basket that hold snack size baggies and add a label so I know what the punch or die cut is.
Thanks for stopping by.

Today is your day
I signed up for the Stamp and Scrap Class at My Creative Classroom watched the first and second lessons and made my layouts based on the second lesson. I did not purchase nor was I planning on getting the paper pack and stamp set that is used. I am going to use my existing supplies for this class.
Thanks for stopping by.
Recipe:
Paper: Unknown pieces from my scrap pile
Stamps: Unity Kit of the Month March 2012 - {from head to soul}
Ink: Colorbox - canary, orange, heliotrope; Stampin' Up - Basic Black, Dusty Durango; VersaMagic - Perfect Plumeria
Spray Ink: Sprinklers - Sea Sail and All Aboard; Tattered Angels Chalkboard - Concord
Punch: Martha Stewart - Loopy border
Misc.: black embroidery floss, scissors, pop up dots, foam tape.
For both layouts I am again using papers from my scrap pile. For the backgrounds of both layouts I had to paper piece the circle paper on them to get the size I wanted. I hid the seams under the camera borders.
I love the way both layouts turned out, so much so that I will have to do this for my guy's birthday pages! This is a great class, I'm trying new techniques that I don't normally do but that I have the supplies for.
Thanks for stopping by.
