Brothers . . .

I'm working a scrapbook page of my guys, and I wanted some sort of Word Mesh. I've seen the number's for sale, and all kinds of stamps but not what I wanted for the page. Boy do I love my Cricut. The words are, Brothers, buddy, Friends, Best, Pals, and Boys. Brothers, and Friends and Boys and Pals share the letter "S". I used the Printing Press Cartridge for this.

Here's a tip when removing the mesh - as I pull my piece up I place a piece of wax paper underneath it. It keeps the piece from re-sticking itself back to the mat.

Cut Outs

I was working on a tag album for my sister. I want to basically put a kit together for her so that all she has to do is some journaling, add pictures, put the pages in the order she wants, add a few embellishments. Well, this is what I came up with. I had already cut a bunch of tags out and then I decided she needed some cut outs so she could sandwich the pictures or journaling.

I used Tags, Bags, Boxes and More for the Tag Shape and George for the windows on my tag. There are ovals, rectangles, stars, squares and and outline window. I used double sided paper and cardstock so the tag can be flipped which ever way she wants.

Please note that if you view it does look funky. There is no welding so each tab is a separate tag on the page. The 4x6 tag album has two tags per page.

Tag Album

Using George and Design Studio here is a couple of tag albums.

There are two sizes of each tag. One is 2.998 x 5.5 and the other is 2.5 x 5.5. In each one you will loose a little because of the overlap and welding.

If you want more than the four pages cut another sheet and glue them together. You will need to score each tag set down the side seams for folding.

"Some men see things. . .

as they are and say "Why?" I dream of things that never were and say "Why Not?" - George Bernard Shaw

This layout is for the July Quote Challenge at Gotta Pixel. Last summer when I attended the IRS forum in Chicago we went to the pier and there was a couple of these boats coming into the harbor.

I used the red paper in this kit and overlayed it with a picture that did not turn out so well, but it looks great cropped and partially transparent. I used Missed your Exit and Black Chancery for the fonts. Click here for the word art.

Stars and Arrow Coaster

Maya Road has 4 inch coasters that I thought was pretty cool so I cut some out for my sister for her grandson. I now need to do a cowboy boot and maybe a cowboy hat.
The file is here.

Catherdal

I've been saying since we moved here that I wanted to see the Catherdal in St. Paul. Well, raising two boys with all the things they do to stay busy and out of trouble it just never got done. So this summer I went.

I did this layout for the GottaPixel Blueprints by Monica Challenge for July.

Football Album

My husband's birthday is coming up and football season is just around the corner. Here is the football album I made for him. Everything on this is using the George cartridge.

Some of the pages I had to lay the paper down top side facing the mat and cut as it was going onto another piece of paper that was going to be the top. For the pocket pages, I cut my paper 6 1/2" wide by however long I wanted the pocket to be, (side that is cutting the holes line it up as you normally would and have the extra 1/2" on the other side of the mat), and just cut the holes on the 3rd page.

Vine . .

I subscribe to Allison's from Stampin When I Can and she posted this from Buzz and Bloom. I really like the look of this Retovine chipboard and decided to make my own. I used the A Walk in My Garden Cartridge for this one.
Before you cut the first page has all of the vines on it. If you just want a certain vine you will have to go to that page. The vines on individual pages are still located in the same place as on the all vine page.

Scallop Album

I made two Scallop Albums with the Cricut. The first one uses George and Celebrations Cartridges and the second one uses George only. I figure that everyone has George and it gives me the practice.
I am now working on a football album for my DH. Oh yea, if you click on the picture it will bring up the cut file.
